I really don't want a cam, for SoCal daily driving reasons, but upgrading the springs and retainers alone is reason for me to consider a mild one on my next mod.

Good luck with the install, and dyno video or it didn't happen!

Day#6 The guys at FSP are buttoning up the Supercharger install and added the ports for the Meth on the Air Intake. Tomorrow they will install the Boost A Pump and install the Meth System.

Good to see the piping is as tight on yours as it is on mine. Mine was a tightttt squeeze. Especially when you try to install the sway bar wrong.. Ask me how I know

They told me they should have my car on the Dyno tomorrow tuning. If all goes well I should be picking it up Friday! Are you getting Meth or Just Wheels and Drag Radials?

I'm enjoying following along...mines going to QMS in just a few days for an A&A kit! Using the V3 head, Alky meth (dual nozzle like yours) and I already previously put down 479 with Kooks and cam.

Clutch upgrade soon after and have been researching if I should upgrade the diff and/or half shafts. Old drag racer here myself.

Yeah mine should be ready Friday as well. You're crazy going from stock to your setup. I think you'll be surprised at how much it's going to take to handle that power on the street, especially with shorter gearing than me (e.g. Z51/GS). Anyways, maybe we'll pick them both up same time

I'm getting meth injection and brakes (Wilwood Forged Superlites). The brakes won't be done but I'll likely bring it back for them. I want to long term test the car so if it acts up it's going back in anyways for the brakes.

That's because it's a Mustang dyno and not a Dyno jet. All anyone should care about is power under the curve and not the numbers.

I can tell you at just the ECS kit alone the car pulls like a damn animal for a street driven car. Do not expect to hook in the right gear at any speed under 80mph. 650rwhp will just make that worse. If you daily drive your car around like I do, you're not going to want much more than what the ECS puts down. I can get it to hook in 1st and 2nd but it's called don't floor it . Slowly rolling into it in 2nd gear it will hook but I can't get into it until around 5000rpms/65mph'ish for it to MAYBE hook.
That's a cool problem to have, lol.

Yeah I didn't take my quote to heart (the part where I said ECS kit alone car pulls like an animal)...car is getting meth as we speak.

No Problem with Fast Cars! I have had multiple 10 Second Street Cars for the last 20 years. The only difference is this one will have AC and I can interstate drive it. I know Drag Radials are in my very near future but I am weighing my options on tire and wheel size. They installed the Meth kit today and fired it up. It sounds Mean! Lets see were we end up for Rear Wheel HP. We are hoping for 700

Thanks for the detailed info in this thread. I have a base 2010 M6, and once it is paid off my goal is to get to 650whp. I was thinking headers, scm and meth for the safety factor (I do have decent 93 and E85 around me, but not sure I want to mess with E85 asthe car only gets driven on the weekends for the most part and may sit for several days). What I am debating is if I should also get a blower cam or not.

Part of me wants to first do headers, blower cam, and tune, both to spread the cost out and also so I can get used to even that relatively "low" power level as the car in stock form now is the fastest car I have ever owned. I'm also guessing that the cam would allow lower boost to produce the same result, and that along with meth would be added safety. Then if I ever get bored of 650whp, I could easily turn it up to 700+.

However, on the other hand, if I don't do a cam, then I think I could still reach my goal with a sc+meth+headers, but then I would probably buy everything at once as I don't see the point of tuning with just headers.

650 whp seems like a decent sweet spot for a LS3, and with my plans to just run the car as a street car on nice days and maybe a 1/4 pass or two, I think I would be more than happy enough at that power level for a while.
