Default Supercharging my 2011 Base Model LS3 with a goal of 650RWHP

My build is starting with a base model, stick shift 2011 LS3 Kooks 1 7/8" Long Tube Headers. 3" X pipe with high flow Cats to 2 1/2 Corsa Extreme axel back Mufflers. The ECS Supercharger is ordered and I plan to have it tuned and installed by Matt at FSP. The car is a weekend driver that we enjoy taking small trips in. I am an Old School Drag Racer that has bought a newer Corvette and absolutely love it but I am used to Street cars that run mid 10 Second passes. But those cars are trailered to Bradenton Motorsports Park. I want this car to run as fast or faster than 10.50 while being able to drive it the 100 mile round trip from Tampa. What else is recommended to reach this Goal ASAP?

That was something I was considering and makes alot of since. I was wondering if a blower cam was also necessary or if that is overkill. I like the way the cams sound but I would like to be more of a sleeper.

You shouldn't have a problem making around 700 rwhp with just the ECS kit, meth, and headers. I'd do the meth before a cam, but that's just me.

I was in the same boat as you with my base ls3, but I'm a6. I went with the ECS kit, their small blower cam kit, alky kit and 1 7/8 headers of course. I had Lethal Performance install and tune it. With the restrictor in place it made 621/575 on their dyno (7psi). Took off the restrictor (13 psi) and made 724/622. Still make 800 mile round trips on it and gets great gas mileage too.

You will probably need the small blower cam. Matt will get you the figure that you want.

talk to Matt @ F S P. He did my install. Easy 600rwhp and change with just the blower and headers. Either meth or the cam will get you to 650rwhp. Both will get you around 700rwhp. From a safety standpoint, I would do meth.

I can tell you at just the ECS kit alone the car pulls like a damn animal for a street driven car. Do not expect to hook in the right gear at any speed under 80mph. 650rwhp will just make that worse. If you daily drive your car around like I do, you're not going to want much more than what the ECS puts down. I can get it to hook in 1st and 2nd but it's called don't floor it . Slowly rolling into it in 2nd gear it will hook but I can't get into it until around 5000rpms/65mph'ish for it to MAYBE hook.

I'm going on two months with the build and have put over a few thousand miles on it since. It's definitely a blast to drive!

I talked to you at the Stingray show about your car for an hour. The YouTube are impressive! I have had some trouble contacting Matt so I sent him an email this morning. Hopefully he responds. I am just trying to get some feedback because the ECS SC1500, headers and X pipe should be here next week and I want to pull the trigger on this in the middle of January. I want FAST with reliability and I want to get it all done at the same time.

Matt has been very busy with how many kits we have been shipping to him, he is worth a little wait, he knows our combo's very well. I'm sure he will contact you shortly.

For round numbers you can make 700 rwhp with our base kit restrictor removed, headers and meth injection.
725 rwhp with a stg 1 fuel system added to stock cam and leaned on a little.
750-800 rwhp with a cam added to the previous combo's. That's without changing the head unit pulley, but I would leave it at that.

Those combo's have proven extremely reliable, even in a racing environment when the correct octane is used.

I hope that helps.

Oh hey dude! I had no issues getting a hold of Matt. Like Doug said, maybe it's the time of the year. He's a great guy to work with. You could always make a drive down to his shop and talk to him too probably. Their address I think is on their web site.

Im sure he is busy due to the sale as Doug stated. I am patient and like I told you I want the best even if it cost a little more. I like quality professional honest service and that is what all of Matt's customers brag about. When he calls me we will come up with a plan and set a date to get it done.

Should be easy to reach with your current mods, ECS kit, and meth. My A6 LS2 car made 674 rwhp with ARH 1-7/8 LT, off road X-pipe, ECS kit, and meth so I would imagine an M6 LS3 car with similair mods would be over 700 rwhp.

I spoke to Matt today and we have a plan. He will be installing the ECS kit, Meth Injection Kit, Blower Cam and Tune. Our plan is to pull the trigger Mid January if all of my parts are here. Matt was a great help and I can't wait to get some Boost!

650rwhp is perfect for a 275/40-17 drag radial on C5 17 or C5Z front wheels. You will have no issues running 10.2-10.5 @ 135-138mph with that setup. Get a good clutch in the car and slip it and you can basically bracket race the thing with 1.50-1.60 short times. I've done it. Good luck, that's a really nice power area for the stock LS3 and is still easy to launch.

Matt did my install on my 13 GS 6 spd manual.
ECS 1500 kit, Pfadt headers with no cats, corsa cat back, and alky kit.

With the hot Fl Summer, I put down 617 hp. So you may or may not need that cam. Matt knows what you will need.
And when he says you can reach him anytime, he means it.
