Default 2 pumps one in each tank

i was thinking about running 2 pumps one in each tank and using a y to connect both pumps to 1 feed line? i was wondering if it can be done and work correctly and if anyone has done it?

It's going to be tough to ensure both are pumping an equal volume and that an equal volume is returning to each tank. I think it would be very easy to run out of fuel on one side before the other, plus your gas gauge wouldn't work anymore and throw an error code, so keeping up with fill ups would be difficult too.

Only if you keep the car full all the time. Problem is once you are <1/2 tank the passenger tank will be empty so you will have one pump pumping air.

If you disabled the siphon it could work, but then fuel gauges/ecu/etc will freak out.

Better to just run 2-3 pumps off the drivers tank like designed.

Would need a cross over or something at the bottom to keep tanks equal

Fore sells just hangers, and price isn't bad at all. I bought just the hanger from them.

Doesn't make sense to do unless you were going to put a crossover at the bottom as mentioned. But that would cause the tank level gauge to read incorrectly. Basically 1/2 tank would be empty.

Then order it through a fore dealer. I've bought 3 hangers with no pumps.

I've run one in each tank, and bridged the bottom of the tanks with a -10 line and siphon disabled. Brought it down to less than 2 gallons total left, and worked fine. No codes, and no issues with fuel level gauge.

Don't have it that way anymore. With the bridge line you have to disconnect fuel to drop the driveline, and didn't like the idea of a line running under my trans even with the custom housing I made to protect the line.

It's a pain in the ***, and a lot more work for no gain when you can do something like the Fore setup or alike.

Interesting. I would have thought the level sensor would read wonky because of how the tank transfer works normally.

Usually fuel gauges with dual tanks setups work off of a total resistance value inline. So it should work correctly as mentioned before with a crossover between the tanks.

Corvettes don't work that way. It wants to see the passenger tank empty before the driver tank starts empty or it will throw a code for the siphon pump not working.

Vengance said they got fuel gauge working with a fuel cell.

I doubt they run two sensors..

So The total resistance thing seems more likely. But I have not messed with the system enough to know for sure one way or the other.
