Default Sort of Technical Question

What's everyone's opinion on running 100% M1 Methanol in the system when I can't seem to remember what the tune is for. I can't remember if it was mixed 50/50 or 60/40 or 100 Methanol. Having multiple cars and multiple places do the tuning, I'm having a hard time remembering.

So my question is, if I run 100% M1 in the system until I go back for a re-tune, should I encounter any issues based on your experience?

I don't Daily the car, but was going to wait till spring to have it re-tuned and dyno'd.

Just on nice weather days when I wanted to drive it, not hard, if the system happed to come on under moderate acceleration, it wouldn't be "meth less" or empty.

If it was tuned on 50 water 50 meth, the 100% meth shouldn't hurt much since its being substituted in waters place ?

Any help is appreciated, can't believe I'm asking this ....

I would run 100% if you are unsure, at worst it might run a tad richer or bog out depending on how the tune is set up... I would rather have it a tad too rich than too lean... or just stay out of boost until you get it retuned and make notes of what % to use

You shouldn't have a problem either way. I go back and forth cetween 100% and 50/50 depending on if the car will be sitting for long periods with meth in the pump. Water is very effective against detonation which should be your primary concern. The added octane of 100% will make your AFR's a little richer if it's not tuned for it but it shouldn't Impact performance that much. If you think it's too rich you can always turn down the gain **** a bit if it's an Alky Control system.

Do you have a wideband in the car?

Run 100% Meth and just make sure AFR is good.... Cant hurt to take it to a local known LSX shop and throw it on the dyno and have them data log it just to make sure you get no knock etc.

Thanks for all the replies, I can't believe i forgot what it ran, the car sat so long when I was away I forgot when I seen the low light come on.

I just filled it up 100% and will stay out of WOT until I get it up to you Fran, and have the tube gone over and install a wideband.

Thanks for everyone's input!
