GL man! Build it looking great. I've got a similar kit 6766's on my car works good. I remember those days on the garage floor. I even do it when helping friends like Bill (Five Liter Eater) on here and so I can appreciate the work you doing on the ground. Looking at your build we definitely did some things similar in your parts selection. No auto or 9" for my street car yet, but been through it all lol! Keep us updated.

Talked to owner of this build, 6766 passenger side do not fit with oem craddle and DKT headers, asks much grinding, so much I rebuilt everything. Also think 1700 hp is just big dream. If remember correct, 1400 hp was best shot so far with 6766's??

couple of things to highlight here...
1. this is a very high Compression build utilizing ethanol fuel (e85-98), return of power per lb of boost will be much higher than a normal lower cr build.
2. i will be upgrading turbos as stated above to 6870 and doing a complete stainless hotside.
3. i do agree some grinding is required but its nothing crazy and no different than grinding the rear lower control arms to fit 15's its just a matter of preference and how comfortable you are doing the massaging.
4. you are right 1700 will not be had on the dyno through a glide and 9" but it will definitely show through trap speed as im am definitely not building a dyno queen.

Awesome build! Should be a killer on the drag strip. Sub'd for the 180+ mph trap speeds.

Tried same, I'll check if I have some pics how much need grinding. With 3" down pipes afraid gonna be back pressure problem..

Nice build! Congrats on taking it on at home. I noticed a lot of stud sticking out of the Tq tamer, I wanted to just make sure that you do not have tension on the tq tube. It's design is to just hug the tq tube and to keep it from lifting the drive train like a tq arm on hard launches.

Passenger side, only one manifold bolt sits to head.

I was worried about that a little. i took some better pics of it for you, it did not come with any instructions so i put it together using logic.. i had to use 2 extra washers on the threaded rod so that it would secure to the plate without that the bolt would bottom out on the rod and not secure the hoop (the hoop would be loose on the plate.) but the top of the hoop is at least 2" above the tq tube i would say..

I had to grind WAY more and space the cradle down about 3/8" to get my 3" B cover to get enough clearance for inlet piping and filters. Never going to get them on those 4" covers with out a K member like I posted trying to get 2 others in on the buy so I could acquire one etc... I agree your HP goals are lofty, but I am rooting for you for sure. Keep the pictures coming looks good.

DAYYYUMMMM! that's an insane build, so awesome doing it in your garage.

any reason you went with belt driven vaccum pump vs. electric? what kind of gains do you think this sees over a well thought out catch can setup?

I'm looking into maybe joining the k member deal but not sure yet.. as far as the hp goals go I think the 6766 will rap out at around 1400-1500 the 68s I think will do 1600-1700 I will be doing them in a t4 housing and 4“ exhaust along with new header to push the turbo back just a smidge and relocate wg. But first I'll see how far these take me.

From my research electric ones suck. I've used these vacuum pumps on my builds for years now and I love them..
Here's an article you can read

Nice!! Very good fabbing there! I'm going the opposite route as stated above I will be using t4 covers moving turbos back just a smidge and relocating wg on header side. Along with 4" exhaust
