Real Fuel System Build
For years I've gotten by with two Walbro 255's in the stock bucket (bottom cut off) Y'd together run off a hotwire harness, still returnless. This has worked for some time and the along with an Alky Control dual nozzle system and FIC 1k injectors made the 980/970 in my sig. The pumps over-run the in tank regulator and make 65# at idle and 55# under load. Lately the idle pressure has been lower than usual which makes me think one of the pumps is on it's way out or out, so if I'm dropping the tank(s) again I'm going to do a real fuel system. It's modeled after Inspector12's who has helped out a lot with design tips and the hard lining of the feed and crossover as well as the Fore parts. Thanks Jeff!
Holley rails and a sweet little FuelLabs regulator mounted directly to the rail ala inspector12's setup. Hard lined the -6 crossover. Can't see it but thanks to Turbotuner20 for the recommendation on the banjo fitting on the back of the drivers side rail. Very tight back there. A -6 will come off the back of each rail and the stock feed line used for the return. The setup is exceptionally clean and blends in very well.
Like Inspector's setup I hard lined the feed (-8) going through the rocker panel. Fore Y blocks on each end converting to -6's with a fuel pressure sender on the front side going to my Aeroforce and the rear Y block mating directly to the Fore filter.
I've had a custom hanger I got from Nick Yoskin years ago that's finally going to see some use. Triple AEM 320's. One as the main pump and two coming on under boost being triggered by the Eboost.
I just need to get the tanks down to install the hanger and the blockoff in the passenger tank, make the -6 hose and do some wiring.

Very nice.
I swear I'm the only one that ran the fuel lines through the tunnel. Never seen anyone else do that.

Really? Everyone's fuel system offered that I've seen runs them there. I just prefered to use hard line. Bills is 1/2" I ran 5/8's to two -8's to both rails. Good job Bill looks good. Sorry I wasn't able to come give you a had yet after we did the pumps on the hangar. Just been trying to get mine together etc...

I've seen everyone run them through the rocker panel like Bill, not through the tranny tunnel like I did.

OK I miss understood what you were tunnel you were talking about. I thought you meant Rocker tunnel etc... I bent a hard line for the trans?TT tunnel, but up by the intake I couldn't get it to look as clean so I went back to the rocker panel.

If that's aluminum hardline, don't run ethanol!
I wish I could go back and do my fuel system again. I'd do so many things differently. What did you use to make the flares?

Its stainless. Everything is E85 compatible except the 1k injectors. But if I decide to get bigger ones later I can run corn. BTW, have you done a DSteck ethanol conversion on an E40?
Just a regular flare tool. Nothing special.

Nice clean install. I like it. If I hadn't gotten the lines with a kit I bought for a steal, I would have done hard lines also. My feed runs in the rocker but my return runs in the center tunnel. I removed the gauge from the regulator and put my sender for my aeroforce there instead. I am not a fan of those gauges under the hood and see no real use for it if you have a gauge in the car.
Sweet job.. I love attention to detail like that.

Double check for leaks. Flaring stainless and having it seal properly is tricky without a good tool. Mine uses a triple roller to burnish the surface once flared out.
E40s can do flex fuel.

He covered it, but my feed is zip tied to the factory feed, so can't be any worse than that.
After the march 1/2 mile I plan to pull my tanks and swap to triple AEM 320s just like this. Running duals right now but maxed them out.

Well its worse because you are constantly cycling and heating the fuel in your tanks.
factory stuff just dumps right back into the tank..
