Default 1000RWHP-1200RWHP Weld 15 or 17 pics of setups

How many of y'all big power makers are running Weld setups? Pics would be great. Any red vettes? I want to know if I absolutely need spindles and 15's or if it can be done with 17's. Please include limits of setups and RWHP. Ex: what MPH hooks and doesn't hook. Thanks!!! Looking to make 1000-1200 with new TT setup.

With that power I would be surprised if anything hooks on the street very well. With 780rwhp my 325/45/17 would hook will in 3rd, and sometimes in second depending on temperature, etc. Automatic car.

I'm running the 335/35R17 Hoosier DR's and at around 800rwhp I could dead hook from a 2nd gear 60mph roll.

However, I am also running LG GT2 coilovers that were valved for drag racing, I am running PFADT HD Sway Bars, and I'm running a ProEFI EMS w/ traction control....so it's not the best comparison to say that my tires are the reason. I think all together the combo seems to work decently. At the new power level, I am heavily considering going with spindles, 15" rears, and some meatier tires.

That's some expensive exhaust!! Looks great. Pro EFI would be great in the future for me. Still no red vettes....lol

I would be interested in the rear setup if you upgrade to the 15's.

I'll keep you in mind.

Also, Jeff's car looks killer. 15's look sinister on these cars. Too bad I'm in the middle of a clutch/driveshaft swap currently. I need to trip and fall into some Inspector12 level of cash flow. lol

There's a few vettes that run 8s on the track with 18s. I probably wouldn't invest in the 3k conversion plus cost of 15s when u can just slap a 17 rear unless ur a hard core drag racer n what even possible advantage

17's in back on a 295/45/17 DR. It hooks with 825rwhp and a well driven manual.

What power? What tire setup? Manual? Is that 20" in front? That's what I have now on mine just wondering how it will handle until I can get fronts.

Spinning a F1X to 32psi on a 434, so well over 1000rwhp. RPM Level 7 6060 with Z06 1-4 and ZR1 5-6. The rear setup in the pic is Weld 15x10 with M/T 325/50/15's for the 1/2 mile events. The fronts there are Forgestar 18x10.5's, but I'm going to be buying some Weld 17x8's to match for such events. 1/4 mile I have a bead locked Weld 15x10 with M/T 275 Pro's and the Weld 17x4.5 fronts with M/T Sportsman S/R skinnies.

15x10.5 and 18x9 in front. I just found better tire selection on the 18's then I did on the 17's is why I did it that way and if there is a difference in wheel size already I didn't think 1" was going to make it look bad in any way. I was making around 1000-1100 when I first went to them and later on more but not 100% sure how much more probably in the 1300rwhp range. They were a game changer for my car 18's were ok, but not nearly as consistent as these have been. Now at the track the 18's seemed to work just fine never really had traction issues there.

Come on now. I'm not the one who just dropped my car off at D3P and let them do the complete Pro EFI install etc... LOL! I do most of this myself its the only way this poor boy can afford to play at this level.
