Default Finally ran the car...10.46@141!

Ran the car last night at a nearby racetrack. I was more than happy with the results. I rolled into the throttle off the line but it pulled very nicely past the 60ft. The car was ran full weight with exactly 1/2 tank of fuel and 19" 305 MT drag radials. The car still has the stock tranny, converter, and diff with 2.56 gears. Only mods are the ECS Novi 1500 kit @ 13psi, ECS small blower cam, meth kit, and 1 7/8" headers with 2.5" exhaust all the way through (no cats). I know I'm leaving some power on the table with the meth nozzle being closer to the tb and after the iat so I may consider changing that up. I may consider a converter as well but maybe later this year.

R/T .647
60' 1.858
330 4.678
1/8 6.941
MPH 109.39
1/4 10.46
MPH 141.15

You certainly have the mph for 9's. Get the 60' down and you could probably get there with stock converter.

Nice start for sure, we have ran 9's with that combo with the stock converter. Try a little more seat time and lean on the launch more and you may just get it.

Congrats!

Thanks guys! Since it was my first time out, I was a little nervous about breaking anything but will have to put the pedal to the metal next time for sure lol. Here's the vid of the run.

And yes, that is a C7Z on the right lane, but he let off. Those cars are beautiful! Was running mid 12s@122-123 but had paper plates.

Put a stand alone fuel system and a nitrous outlet plate. Could probably go 9s at 150 ish easy without touching anything else but the tune

Would the stock motor with the supercharger be able to handle the nitrous also?

We have made over 900 RWHP with a 1500 and a little spray. Car is still going strong and it's in a heavier Camaro. LS3

Put some real tires on it and get it to hook with what you have, I bet it goes 9.90s with the stock converter. That's a great all around set up for a street drive. Sure a converter would get you 9.60s but then you have to deal with the side effects of having a stall converter.

When I go from driving my Z06 with a tight FTI converter to my wife's G8 with a stock converter, it's still no comparison.. The stock converter drives 10x better under any circumstance besides 100% wide open throttle.

Unless you're gonna be drag racing a lot, try to keep the stock converter. Drive better and faster on the highway.

Doug, I have an ls2 with the 1500 no plate 712/hp 646tq. I was wondering about the stand alone fule system with the notrous plate.stock motor. What would be needed to add to my car and what the price be?
