Hello,
I might be purchasing a supercharger from here and since it's a large amount of money and it is a private sale how can I make sure everything goes well?
I have the serial nu,ber so I am going to call in but the Vortech kit displays a v3 so is it a v3 si or v3 T the owner claims it is a T trim kit.
Is there a way to securely transfer the money just incase?

V3 is the self contained Si. T and Ti's are V1 from th chart I saw on vortech's site.

V3 comes in T ,
but the chargers tag doesn't say that.. lol

Vortech needs to update their site and tags then.

My tag only says V3 as well, doesn't specify which trim. Call Vortech with the serial #, easy enough.

So the owner says its a v3t and the serial and tags say it's an si. Not sure whether i should proceed or not

Bottom line, call the manufacturer and ask what it should say. Are you using PayPal to pay?

I verified the Serial#. It is a V3 Si.
We drop shipped the kit for one of our mail order retailers in 2012. It's quite possible the seller thought it was a Ti, rather than an Si. We would not have sent him an invoice as he was not the purchaser. The invoice went to the dealer.

If you can't pick it up in person use PayPal. They will cover the purchase if the seller misrepresents or doesn't send the product described. I just went through this exact same scenario

A&A is as standup as they come. Josh has always been a great guy I could reach out to just to chat cam specs, well before he worked for A&A in Cali and was a Texas guy. I've run 2 A&A kits, I just prefer another brand now.

Personally, I'd contact Josh and just buy a new kit with warranty on the head unit. He's a strait shooting guy.

I would not buy used unless you are 100% sure everything is in good condition and everything is there. You will spend a lot gathering up parts and wasting time figuring out were they go.

Unfortunately I am returning the kit since the sender originally mentioned that it included the belts, brackets, and a few other things but they never came with the box which had the headunit, radiator, and BOV.
He said that he will ship the rest soon which was weird, and then after a day of trying to get a hold of him he did said he will not be shipping them and I was the one who misunderstood everything..? He first did not want to return the money but after submitting a claim to paypal he said that he was going to return it. (I have the texts from day 1) that's to bad for me but the good part is that I will get my money back!
Time to keep hunting for SC Kit.
