AZ 1/2 Mile
Very tired, been up since 5.
Drove out to AZ 1/2 mile race today. From what I can gather, was the fastest RWD car, fastest car driven there, and fastest vette. Was a fun time. Ran a few 180s, with best of 181. Made ~10 passes, no major issues besides a minor oil leak from blower (so annoying).
Only things faster were 1500awhp 997 and a 1500awhp TTG both doing 217mph which is crazy fast.
Tons of vettes, like 36-38 vettes running. There was a F2 n2o crazy motor one, a F1X car, a big shot n2o car, lots of head/cam Z06s, a very quick zr1, a few nice blown c7s, and many other vettes.
Few races that were fun were
AMS 1000 GTR. I thought it would be close, but was a solid 8-9 cars ahead. Wasn't even close.
and my friends low 9 second turbo trans am. Closest race of the day

Nice!!! Man I can't believe how you pull on that 9 sec bird lol Now that you had a chance to test those Viking shocks and struts, do you think that they made a difference on how your car performed? I'm thinking on getting the rear set just to see how they do while at the drag strip.

Somewhere between 1050-1100rwhp is probably where it was at.
That TA is stupid fast. Went through my camera and didn't get a single good video. All you see is sky or run way for most of them.
Shocks worked well. No complaints. Car was steady, straight, and hooked good. Never adjusted them, was too busy hanging out and racing, but ran them at 12C/2R front and 0C/12R rear.

epic! that's so rad you drove your car there, pillaged a bunch of other serious high hp setups and then drove back
these 1/2 mile events are so much fun. cool group of people involved in the ones I've been to also.
seems like with that suspension and tire setup you're pretty much dead hooking from a 40 roll?

Never checked boost. Last time on dyno made 24psi.
Should be 1100ish rwhp. Maybe more. Still has a bit left. Having a few minor issues.
Didn't 100% dead hook 2nd with tires at 21-22psi, but MPH higher. At 17psi tires were hooking but extra drag actually slowed it down.

thats still pretty epic to basically hook 1,100whp in 2nd gear.
It's amazing how good some of these newer drag radials are imo. I think I'm going to move to the same tire you have but on a 17" rim setup so I don't have to throw tons of cash at spindles, etc

Awesome man! That's quite a feat to DRIVE to a race, race all day, be at the top of the heap, not work on a thing and drive it home. You definitely have that car dialed in and built right. I wouldnt change a FKN thing on that car.

Uhhhh, too late....
Car is already apart. Just spent 4 hours stripping it down.
1/2 mile race in December I even drove out in the rain on the drag radials, that way scary.
Car did run good. Found that the lower IC pipe moved about 5". Slid back until the bead on the pipe caught the clamp. was looking at blower outlet and found it was kinked badly. Not sure how much that effected anything, but it couldn't be good.
Redoing it with hard piping, bigger intercooler, better aero, etc. Also swapping in some ID1300s, new ecu, and some other little changes.

Yes Abdullah ran. I think mid 160s which is very good for NA car.
