Default No Power Steering Cooler with ECS Kit??

Well, I just found out you lose your power steering cooler when installing an ECS S/C kit on a LS7.

What are my options? What is the majority of ECS LS7's doing?

What is the negative of not having a PS Cooler? This car will not be hot lapped or circle tracked/autox. It may be driven 3-4 hours at a time on road trips, and used for some roll racing.

I removed mine.. LS2. Made things a lot easier to work around.

If I remember correctly base models don't have power steering coolers anyways, so I figured it wasn't that big a deal.

I installed mine over the winter so I haven't really seen any real hot weather yet. I don't expect any issues though.

I'm not an expert but I'm pretty sure the external dimensions are the same.

could it be that maybe the dewitts is responsible?

I believe we went with the Dewitts shorty z06 drop in with SPAL's.

It comes with brackets to relocate the transmission cooler for the Z06/GS cars. The power steering bolts right up where it did.

Actually the brackets are for the oil cooler, The PS cooler can be eliminated as long as the car is not road raced, or the cooler can be mounted a little over to allow the duct to pass threw.

Took it off, never looked back. Unless you are doing 30+ minute hot lap sessions not an issue. Base corvettes dont have them.

I removed mine never had an issue, but you can get a smaller cooler from an expedition at a junkyard and put it on

I did an Expedition cooler just like pictured above on my car and run Redline power steering fluid. Haven't had a chance to do any track days yet but I'm pretty confident it will be ok as long as the fluid level isn't too high.
