lets get a grudge race in!
now that I can actually quick shift, it should be closer. when I was in houston, i was having to shift really slowly for it to engage.
I wish jamie was comin to the event, it's not thaaaat far from Nola for him.

nareg and Manuel had them all on the go-pro.
pretty sure they went through a mother bottle of nitrous, and 100 gallons of E85 that weekend in the vette.
my race was from 70-170, cuz i brake boosted third. he got be by about a car at 170. hoping itll be closer this time since I will be able to get the car into 4th.

Sense of Reality
Well when you see cars like EX1's corvette make over a 1000 ft lbs of tq, that can shock you back in reality in regards to thinking my 4000 pound car is going to be able to hang with that or with Vic's F1X corvette LOL.
What I am looking forward to however is to see how we do against other cars of similar weight. We plan on leaving the 3.91 gears in my Camaro so that we can get a little help with getting the weight moving faster LOL Mathmatically 3.45's and 28 inch tires are the ticket BUT we will trade off some top end speed for a little more acceleration especially since I will NOT be running nitrous this time around. So basically if I am a couple of MPH SLOWER at the trap but I get there quicker than the next car, that is what it is all about.
FLAT power bands, great torque and of course acceleration will be on hand in abundant supply this weekend. I wouldnt want to be a chicken trying to cross the road or runway this weekend. LOL

I switched from the ET pros to the Hoosier 28" radial to see how it does. i can't brakeboost and hook 2nd, but it hooks third, so i'll prob give it 3/4 boost in 2nd for the hit, ramp it in, then give it everything in 3rd and 4th.
looking forward to finally meeting everyone this weekend. i'll be one of the many mustangs out there. hopefully one of the faster ones. Blue 2013 turbo car.

Runway Rivalry Results
Well just completed RR and we got SECOND in Class A (fastest class) with my fat assed Camaro with my son driving.
The WINNER in Class A you corvette boys will be glad to know was Andrew in his C6 Grandsport. I think he went about 167 in the final against my car. We couldnt get my car to go into 4th at 7400 RPM on that run so it was really over before it could get started. But all in all we were very pleased we got second with a fat boy that was slightly underpowered but VERY consistent. Fastest run was almost 163 MPH.
Through the eliminations process THREE TrueStreet Moosestangs were eliminated from contention by my car. A mustang however did win the B class division and their breakout number was 149.4 MPH.
VIC in his GRANDSPORT as predicted was the fastest car in the entire field. He WON the sponsors race representing AMP (Advanced Modern Performance. He probably would have won Class A as well but his FIRST run produced a 170 MPH trap speed and they would not let him participate in the CLASS A race after that (break out speed was 168.5). His car is EXTREMELY consistent and is easily a 172-173 MPH car.
Congrats to him for hanging in there and winning the sponsors race.
We had a great time and from a personal standpoint didnt really hurt anything on my car that believe it not has a STOCK driveshaft and axles. LOL
Finally, I would like to thank Sam, Serge and Bryan from AMP.

perfect Combo
Well I have personally seen it on the DYNO so I KNOW it makes 1020 HP. My opinion is that car just has a near perfect combination and I know he has spent ALOT of time getting it there.
Plus VIC is a very good driver and he is extremely consistent. If you look at just the numbers , I agree the car SHOULDNT be going that fast but neither should my fat assed 4100 pound Camaro at roughly 1000 hp.
That points to the difference I think in THEORY and Bench Racing and the REAL WORLD. I remember arguing recently over a gear ratio and the old trusty calculators told me one thing and somebody with alot more real world experience told me another and I was proven ENTIRELY wrong to my complete surprise. It can be quite humbling for sure.

I ran that same runway at TI and trapped 158mph with 930whp. Assume it's the same distance and start speed to make it comparable.
