Forced Induction Cars at Runway Rivalry
On May 2-3, Runway Rivalry will take place and there will be as many as NINE cars that Advanced Modern Performance did some work on including of course my own. www.dallasracing.net sponsors the event and they within the next few days will post more details on the individual cars on their FACEBOOK page.

This will show you the roster of cars. My car is entry 14 on the list and is an F1R powered 2010 SS Black Camaro with over 1000 RWHP. Corvettes represented from AMP will be entry number 15 a ZR1, entry 18 a Z06, and entry 41 Vic's GrandSport (defending champion). Car entry 39 is a CTS V, Car entry 99 a fourth gen SS Camaro. There should be a couple others as well. ALL of these cars make over a 1000 HP and most are PROCHARGED.
Breakout speed for this 1500 foot roll race is 165 MPH. SEVERAL of these cars will be pushing that.

Sounds like a good time. TI, quick 30 track rentals, and other events have kept being rescheduled. This weather isn't cooperating this year very well. Even the Texas Mile guys had a headwind.

how do you know for sure it's 165? breakout speed is supposed to be given to everyone Saturday morning before we actually start racing.
here is what it says from the site
"Below is the official schedule for Runway Rivalry II. Please take notes of the times for all the events.
Indexing for the class races will happen every time you run down the airfield, so make sure to run your car before lunch Saturday, to end up in the proper class. We will have break out speeds for each class, to discourage sand bagging within the classes. Breakout speeds for the classes will be released before the class races start."

Class Determinations
That 165MPH breakout is pretty firm for Class A cars give or take MAYBE 1 MPH. The breakouts for the other classes are to be determined because they are going to have to have all the cars indexed according to their speeds. Whatever it takes to make the groups work number wise is what is going to determine the breakouts for Class B and Class C. It makes no sense for example to have 50 cars in Class B and only say 20 Cars in Class C. Obviously I don't run this event so things could change, but this is my understanding of it from those that do.

I bet since they raised it 100hp that ~165 will be the top speed.. and and ~168 the break out.
Not "official numbers".. but sound about right to me
Andrew is just mad

Really wish I didn't have to back out. My 164mph(w/ YSi) at TI would have made me really competitive, let alone now that I have the F1x on and running well. Ugh... I hate work, but its a vicious cycle I guess..
Good luck to any of you running!

I'll be bringing my TGT, looking forward to meeting everyone.
Last year was super competitive, but this year will be full of sandbagging.
i know of a few people that are coming that made 1XXX or 1100 on the dot on pump, but are coming with tanks of C16 and more timing, which is kind of BS, but all in good fun.
looking forward to the weekend!
