Default Consensus on IAT Sensor Placement on Meth

boosted c6z with ecs novi 1500 kit
alky inj. meth kit

Are most of you guys relocating the IAT sensor out of the MAF and into the front of the Intake Manifold? POST Meth?

i.e. IAT Sensor --> TB --> Meth --> MAF

Is this safe?

Yes the IAT sensor needs to be post meth

Some people put it in the intake tube after the meth nozzle

Some drill/tap a hole in the intake manifold and put it there. There's a good spot on the passenger side, just after the throttle body, where it should fit nice, so that's the route I'm going with.

I've put a couple of IAT sensors in manifold runners, both metal and plastic. Worked well.

Should have just asked ECS to make the upper pipe ready for meth. They do that at no extra charge. Predrilled with hole for IAT and meth nozzles. Makes installing a meth kit really easy.

That's a good idea, or just weld a bung in your existing pipe. I admit I had some serious pucker drilling my manifold. It worked out good though, looks factory.

I'm tuned speed density with a 3 bar MAP so I just spray into the intake tube...see photo
