Default To oil or not to oil

I have an ECS super charger with the K&N style air filter. I pulled it today to clean it and am letting it dry now. Just wanted to see what the general consensus was on whether or not it should be oiled once it's dried out. It seemed dry like it wasn't oiled before. I know the intercooler shouldn't get any oil in it, but this seems like a small amount if it were to pull any oil from the filter. What's the expert opinion?

I guess nobody cleans their air filters...

I'll just put it in dry.

Typically dry, oil on the MAF or throughout the system is never good.
