Yeah I wouldn't think that's it if you have a brand new one. Gotta be something simple.. hopefully 6 rib fixes it

Yea another way to kill that idea is run a belt from crank to flip (timing belt like unreal suggested) and not ac go WOT see if it breaks..

What unreal is calling a timing belt is the cog like I have just in case you didn't realize. I know you don't like cogs based off past experience with the blower cog drives, but it really does work well. I lost a couple belts trying to figure out what tension they like to run, but after that, I have had zero problems.

I'm curious, have you had the ac actually turned off during the wot runs that broke the belt. If it's off, I wouldn't think the clutch would have an opportunity to lock up, but that doesn't mean the pulley bearing on the compressor isn't going bad. I have had brand new ones that were bad before. Just something you might look at. Also, since you are waiting on parts, you might try putting the ALT/PS belt on and setting the tension to see how hard it is to turn by hand without the 4 rib AC belt on the jackshaft pulley. That might give you an idea of the stress placed on the AC belt trying to turn the accessories in case there is an issue there while under tension. I think the pulley you say isn't doing anything is designed to give a slightly better belt wrap of the 4 rib AC belt on the jackshaft pulley. Just my thinking, but if you have enough force to break a 4 rib, even if it doesn't break the 6 rib, it may not take long to damage it. I can definitely see it helping with belt slip over the 4 rib though.

Maybe I'm missing something. The c5 bracket you are talking about is the ac bracket correct? If that's right, that will increase wrap on the crank and the ac but won't do anything to help the wrap on the jackshaft pulley.

Ok got it back all done and its 100% now. Thanks to Rodney and Matt of course, it wasnt easy. Didnt get on it really because who can blame me but so far so good. I must say this turn-one power steering pump makes driving this car a whole new experience!

Best way to describe this pump is look at this video and how effortless it is for Jeff Gordon to move his wheel. Its exactly the same..

Hopefully that solves the issues for you!

If I had known about this brand I would have gotten one too since I paid close to what they charge for a brand new GM one anyways
