I would strongly recommend at least getting a wideband or fuel pressure gauge. I'll tell you a little story why...
My tuner and I were out in Mexico doing some WOT tuning sessions. In the middle of the 3rd or 4th pull (can't remember which), my A/F, at WOT, started spiking. I immediately got out of it and we drove to my house to investigate. Turns out, the Hobbs switch that activates my external fuel pump failed! The switch was less than 3 months old and wasn't near any heat or anything else that could cause the fail. It was simply a factory defect. At 850+whp, WOT, I would have been doomed if it hadn't been for my gauge. Now, my tuner also yelled at the same time to get out of it because he was datalogging but, you don't usually have a tuner watching while you're driving around.
The car was an AES 390ci built motor, AFR heads, YSI, all top of the line stuff that would have been destroyed (well, most of it) if that gauge hadn't been there that day.
I'm not trying to scare you but...like I said before, you should get a gauge.

dash logic is awesome because you don't have to install gauges, just use the DIC and HUD that are already there. I promise I don't get commission for recommending them haha
here's some pics I took of mine, this was before I had the wideband connected to it though, but you get the idea..

Right now mine is setup to show boost, wideband reading, knock retard and something else all at once on the DIC.. then most of the same things + coolant temp on the HUD, so it works pretty good. Has an alarm that alerts me if I get over 2* KR and you can make up whatever alarms you want

LOL! Yeah the Dash logic with PLX wide band is def on my wish list. We are getting 3 bar MAPs installed as well. Is that plug and play for dashlogic or is adapter required?

it can basically report whatever data the PCM knows about.. so if the engine is using a MAP sensor that can handle boost, then dash logic can access that data over the OBD port. that is what I'm doing
you can also run a separate sensor and wire it straight to the dash logic interface, but I don't see much point since it's a good idea to have a map sensor on the engine that can read boost anyways... it's easier to just use data from the one that's already there
(I just installed my PLX wideband tonight btw.. my Innovate Motorsports one kept crapping out. So far so good)

Bud I'm not a big fan of gauges either but...it's cheap insurance! I've seen them mounted on the steering column before also...nice and stealth and you don't have to look anywhere else while you're driving.
