Default ECS kit, DP Direct Drive, C5 AC Bracket on a C6, questions

Anyone have this setup?
With the C6 AC bracket, i could not get a good belt length for the AC. Absolutely could not get the PK1220 to go on, next size up was PK1240 was too big. Special ordered a 4pk1230 (came from Israel) , it fit, but too loose, after a couple of test drives, it is now broken.
So I opted to get the C5 AC bracket in hopes to get a regular belt size.
Looks like mounting it is simple. My problem is where my current blower tensioner is at. It sits in front of my current AC tensioner. Will the C5 tensioners fit behind it as well? Or do I need a different blower tensioner? With the ECS kit I have, the tensioner is in between my balancer and AC. Instead of coming off the blower bracket like with other kits I have seen.
Tensioner in the pic is what I am talking about.

I have the ECS direct drive cogged system on my C6. I use the C6 tensioner without issue running a 54.5" 8 rib belt. It's a NAPA 25-080545

You could substitute one of the those strong and grippy green Gates belts of the same size.

He is talking AC belt though. I also run the ECS cogged DD system with a 54" 10 rib belt, but he is talking 4 rib for ac. I run a stock one, since with the ECS cog setup that is all stock.

Im ok on the blower belt. I really like the Gates HD belts.
The AC belt is giving me a headache. Thats why i bought the C5 AC bracket. I was looking at my car before I started swapling it out, not sure if it will fit behind the blower tensioner like the C6 AC setup does. I might just be trippin though, it may fit as well.

Wow that's an old tensioner. Glad to see it's going strong.

To use the C5 AC bracket on a C6 you would need to replace the tensioner bracket to the C5 style that mounts to the C5 AC bracket instead of the C6 style that uses the timing cover bolts since there is no provision with the idler missing on the C6.

So to sum it up, yes you would need to replace the tensioner and bracket assembly to a C5 style. Although the tensioner you have may still be fine, the replacement bracket would not mount up to that tensioner correctly.

By the time you purchased everything needed to do that, C5 bracket and new tensioner assembly, I would recommend cogging instead.

I have the C5 Ac bracket already. Its the tensioner that i circled that is confusing me.
Is there a newer version of that tensioner available?

Yes, that's been updated years ago now. Not much different though. It's just manufactured the way we wanted it rather then that one we swapped the spring and it's direction ourselves to fit our needs.

I remember looking at your kit and I believe it is a very Early C6 ECS kit from back in 05-06. You would probably be best off upgrading to the revised components with a direct drive.

I have the DP Direct Drive installed already.
I also bought the C5 Ac bracket and tensioner that mounts to the AC bracket.
When i started looking at it, i realized the spring tensioner for the blower belt is going to be in the way. Havent messed with it since then.
Im back from Vacation now and wanted to get it all buttoned up, but confused on what it will take to do it at this point.

Has anyone confirmed a c6 AC compressor will play nicely with the C5 bracket?

Youll have to have c5 bracket milled etc.. Not a bolt on experience.

Preventive maintenance I guess. Just put a Procharger Direct drive on. No slip, but I figured 30 for a new bracket is cheap insurance.
