How may saw an improvement with Dewitt's 2" shorter radiator?
Let me start out by saying it's a great looking product and the fitment is perfect! The extra 2" shorter is ideal for blower setups.
My thing is, after the install the temps even with dual SPAL fans is no different than having the stock rad with a single fan staying at around 180-185 in traffic or driving around the city.
I was hoping for a temp drop over the stocker especially running dual fans but I would say the most I would see is 1-2* drop if even? I don't know if the extra 2" of missing core is what did it but running the same mixture of Dexcool as I did before and same Thermostat.
Again I don't mind it just wondering if that's normal

I installed a 3" cut down RSD that was a little thicker than normal and I see similar temps to when I had the stock radiator and fan turned on early with a 160* thermostat. The biggest difference to me is that I never cross 200*... even in stop and go traffic with the A/C on. With my stock radiator and fan I would climb quickly past 210* with A/C in traffic.

Stock fans moves more air than the duals. I wouldn't expect a drop in the temp with this setup.

"Ragin Racin has manufactured a set of brackets to mount dual 11' spal fans to your stock radiator. These fans will move 40% more air than your single stock fan and draw less current. Fans also cover 100% of the radiator. Your factory wiring will need to be cut and spliced in order for the factory ECM to operate the fans. With the dual fans installed we have seen a 20+ degree drop in coolant temperatures with our very hot Louisiana temperatures. Easy install with minor wiring and relocation of fan controller."

Not in my experience or anyone I know. The stock fan is pretty damn good and moves a ton of air.

I have a full size dewitts with the Ragin Racin fans setup. I did see much change in temps over stock really. It did run a little cooler but I made a few other changes at the same time so I don't really know what part that played.

Yeah I didn't measure the CFM but my "face o'meter" def says the stock fans pulls more air than the duals. With the stock when it turns on you can't even go under the car if it's running at full blast (discrete no PWM) setup by giving it full power.
The duals I can still go under, they might be more efficient in the way they pull air but the stocker def feels like it's pulling a lot more.
However, the duals are quieter even when both are on and give you A LOT of room when you jack the car up. You can actually do some work under the car and see a lot more as they are extremely low profile.
Either way it's no big deal just would have been nice to see an improvement in terms of temps, the 2" cut + I had a friend move the radiator mounts about 0.6" lower this gave me a ton of room for the blower inlet.

Sadly not me. I was under the impression the dual fans with the shorter but thicker radiator was the bees knees but it hasn't been the case. I did recently add some ventilation in my hood and move my BOV so hopefully it works out better.
We will see tomorrow how she does in the heat.

Although I didn't see a big improvement from those changes, if the car is set up right I don't see that heat should be a big issue. With my new setup I get about 185 while moving nicely and from 195 to 205 in traffic depending on the ambient temps. Its not florida or texas here but it was about 85 and humid the other day. No issues.

I can't comprehend how 180-185 isn't PLENTY cool. Colder is not always better.

You can add more cooling all day but car won't run lower than the t-stat. So if you were 180F before, you could triple the radiator and it won't move.
My car, even with low compression iron block super hot, only ever has had issues in 105+ heat at a stand still. Car will blow cold ac and stay cool all day 45+ even on a 115F day. If your environment doesn't see constant 105f+ days I wouldn't bother with a ton of cooling upgrades IMO.

I think most that have cooling issues because of lack of fan shrouds, or improper setup, rather than the rad and fan itself.

Or dirty ac condensor, or air in system, or bad/old coolant, or even a bad tune. I've seen cars drop a ton of temp just from tune adjustments.

I have dewitts with a blower and my temps run about 215-224 degrees on a hot day in south florida

It was about 82*F here today and coolant temps at idle dual fans hold at 177*F, single fan gets to about 187*F.
On highway single fan about 187*F but if coasting then around 174*F with a single fan.
My second fan I have turning on around 187*F but I tested by manually turning it on. I like to run only one fan as it doesn't get above 90*F here ever. Normally around 73*F most days.
I like the setup because it's shorter and the dual fans make a cleaner install. However I did expect this crazy cooling that I didn't get lol Picked up the rad+fans and brackets for 650 shipped so couldn't pass it up.

Drove Vette to work today. Only ~102F outside, but never saw over 203F when sitting at a light AC cranked. Last year car would have been 230+. Differences is cleaned condensor, added idle timing, and cut out front support beam. Seems to make a huge difference.

Did you end up making the side panels to box everything in like his also?

I am also confused by cutting out front support beam?
