Default Plx dm-6 multi gauge touchscreen

Anyone have any thoughts/experience with it? I'm looking to add some monitoring of my recent supercharger install. Also has a monitoring capability with additional component.

I have one stuffed in the glovebox... it's a pretty nice little gauge, but it's so skinny I've heard it's hard to mount it in any kind of pod.

I just use dash logic so I don't really need it. I just use it to compare what DL is showing vs. the gauge every now and then to make sure everything is working OK

I used it in my 2010 camaro..made an AC pod. It's not bad...fast on AFR for sure....BUT not AEM fast. I used boost with it too...it was nice to be able to save a peak and look back at the graph on a pass even if it was tiny. I personally think money is better spent on an AEM fail safe.

You sure? The gauge says its 2 1/16" should fit any pod.. http://www.lmperformance.com/560219?...FQMSHwod3EsAhQ

Yeah the diameter is a standard size but it's only like 3/8" thick or so. Maybe a little thicker than that but not much, and no mounting hardware on the back of it so it's more of a friction fit type deal to get it to stay in a pod

Got this gauge and all i have to say is its the sickest gauge ive bought and functions exactly as i need it to. Fits perfect in my pod with minor dremeling of course but nothing is usually perfectly in the pod that ive seen anyway and ive had the most expensive defi gauges before so thats my comparison. I prefer this 1 gauge instead of a triple pod any day!

Are you monitoring fuel pressure with it as well?

No. It is a multigauge. But it does not do warnings, chimes, programmable features, NPP, or 1/2 the other stuff a dash logic does.

i run the plx gauges in my c5, the only downfall of them is the size of the control boxes. i have there obd II reader gauge and 1 multi gauge hooked up to boost, fp, afr, its a cluster f**k of wiring and a pain in the *** to find a spot to fit all of the control boxes... they fill my glove box.

I have dashlogic already. Just trying to decide whether or not to tie wideband/fuel pressure into it or use a stand alone gauge...?

Just personal preference I would say. I prefer to tie into the dashlogic. Not only do you cut out the clutter of extra gauges but as Unreal mentioned, you can also add warnings for rich or lean A/F ratio and low fuel pressure. That would be the way to go especially since you have dashlogic already. Jmo.

I don't have a laptop to program with. How nice of a laptop is needed to program dash logic and possibly hp tuner In the future?

A cheapo laptop from Craigslist will work fine for both. It doesn't take a lot. Someone was selling one here for $100 or $150 I think it was a while back.

Also, you don't have to have a laptop for dash logic. You can bring the module inside and program it with any computer.

If you can post on here, you can setup a dashlogic.

I got a spare tuner laptop I should sell since I just got a bling bling new one.

I have several used laptops available for sale.

I have very low-end laptop you can have for free if you cover shipping costs.
