Default Removing Hood Liner - Risk of Ruining Hood?

A broken belt ruined my hood liner. I question if the temperatures of the blower will cause the paint to become ruined if I run the car without the liner.

Anyone have a blown c6 with removed hood liner...please chime in.

I've had no problems with regular auto paint on engine covers. Nothing to worry about with the hood,

It's there for noise reduction, not to protect the hood.

What Chevy guy said. Pulled mine off before I even put blower on, and new hood doesn't have one, and the blower actually touchs that hood.
