ECS flip drive question

ECS flip drive question
Who has them and do they work well? I assume it's a 10 rib to the SC if so do the ecs pulleys still work or do I need wider ones? I know the SC pulley will need to be new. I have a 1500, with the overdrive I will be at 56000 rpm at 6200 engine rpm. Anyone else spin them like this? Thanks!

Yep, not uncommon to spin them that high, or higher.
10 rib setups are not as popular because the 8 ribs do so well.
The ECS/Cartek flipdrive has a cog drive to the jackshaft, which is nice.
Any flip drive will work better than a standard belt because you effectively reduce the belt length by 50%, and you now have more wrap around everything.

I wonder what caused the crack. There are a ton of people having good luck with the IW and that is what I ordered as well. Hope it was a fluke. The cogged flip drive also uses the IW damper.

Flip drive doesn't touch the SC belts and if you don't do the cogged ECS one doesn't mess with the crank pulley either.
I run the 10 rib cogged ecs version. Works great, no issues.

Help!!!! I keep losing my cog belt!!
I have this ECS flip drive installed on my car and it keeps eating the cog belt. I've gone through three of the cog belts so far now that its been installed. They seem to last maybe two to three months tops then as soon as I get on it the cog belt shreds into pieces and I'm left limping it home with no alternator or power steering. Nothing is seized up or seems to be misaligned. My car has spent more time in the garage then it has been driven since having this upgrade installed! I am not very impressed with it at all!!! I've emailed ecs about this issue but have yet to get a response.......

they can replace the hub for $75-100 or so, that might be a better option then buying a brand new balancer

Zero issues.
I believe it has to be an early ls7 pump as they changed it in later years.

Jack something must have failed, if it was shredding a belt because of us it would have done so almost immediately when being pushed on the dyno. The car had multiple pulls done on it, plus we saw it later to do some ac work and fix a small oil leak from the valve cover, if you think it's an issue from us how about you contact me instead of saying we messed up your car to friends of ours.
