Engine temps were perfect considering most of my driving consists of city driving.
But my car is out for now, lifters when back on me. Kept on hearing the infamous clicking noise. Found some metal shred in my oil? Worried about how that is going to turn out after I drop the car off. But I am ordering a new cam upgrading from my NA cam to a blower cam. Will be adding a torque converter/methanol to see how it holds and then hopefully upgrade towards a tranny that can push me up to my engine limit.
I miss her!

numbers are about right and pretty good for a Mustang Dyno. I did 575/532 mustang dyno on an LS3 manual with just headers prior to install (stock cam). Add methanol it's way more fun and consistent on power delivery. Went to 640/588 on meth with 1/2psi more across board up to 11.5-12.0 range.

As for coolant temps. Fine in stop/go traffic for me UNLESS I've beaten on car hard and then sit in traffic. It'll go up to 235 but come down once at speed very quickly.

If IATs go up sitting AC won't function as well.

Sorry to hear (read) about that. I saw where you mentioned that your car had developed a "tick" and you thought it were the rockers. Mine had developed that "tick" as well before I lost piston #7. I figure that the piston was already damaged by the time the damage became audible. It just took another 5K miles before it finally gave up the ghost for me

Now, quite a few $$$ later, I'm back on the road. I went bigger - better but I'm sure the car would have been just as much fun again, with a basic rebuild

Good luck in whatever you decide.

Hey Arctic!
sorry I actually just saw your posts, as mentioned I replaced it with a stop piston and 2 more broke #3 and #5 and replaced them with stock ones as well. My money for car mods officially is $0.00 lol.

Same thing exactly happened to 3 of my pistons? What was the cause for yours?

Thank you, so the car is back but with Methanol now.
I do not feel relaxed as I was before driving my car. I am always worried and think I am hearing sounds.

But the one sound is getting on my nerves is a clicking noise that sound like the lifters or injectors not sure? really not and it seems like it becomes faster depending on my acceleration... Definitely not the piston ( or at least hope not) since it does not sound it did when the pistons were broken.

Is it cammed? Mine ticks as well and really annoys me. Sounds like a sewing machine.

What did they end up doing to yours? Just putting some used stock pistons back in or something else?

Apparently these are noisy engines that get noisier when cammed and with headers. I have learned to live with it. Car runs really strong.

I can live with noisey engines, but the noisey part is starting to freak me out especially with the race being tomorrow!

Making 630 rwhp with meth and removing the restrictor plate bumping it up for 10 psi unto 12 psi just for the weekend.
Hopefully everything goes smooth!
