Default LS2 Cam

I am ready to install a cam, for a future Centrifugal Supercharger an A&A or ECS etc someday in the next 2-3 years.

My goals are conservative and all I'm after would be 550-575 RWHP on my 6-speed 2005 Z51 package, this will be a cruiser car, no drags, just spirited ridding around and going to car shows, I do not want Meth necessarily, and I 100% do not want fuel smell, no way , no how.

I already have Kooks 1-3/4, Hi Flow Cats, NXT Cat Back.

My tuner has suggested a 222/230 on 116 LS which has -6 degrees overlap. Since he will install the cam I only want to know if the cam will meet my goals. I could install the cam myself but I ma too busy to do it until Dec-January time frame and I don't have the patient to wait that long.

I'm sure you could get those hp numbers with a stock cam. It's all in the head unit you pick and boost levels.

I agree, no need for a cam and if you go with a cam, wait and do it when you do the blower. You're wasting money on labor doing it now rather when the car is apart for the blower install.

At least pin the crank during the cam install if you decide to do it now. That's the biggest overlap in labor between cam/SC install.

No need for a cam to meet your HP goals, though.

Ok, then I guess i can out the cash towards the SC

I already have the ATI damper,I can install and pin that this winter

Is the ATI an underdrive pulley? I'd bet it is. You'll want to ditch that.

no is the stock size ATI 917246

So guess what everyone is saying that, with a cam I would be in excess of 575RWHP, my buddy has a C6/2006 with a Cam and SC and he had @ 615 RWHP.

If you spin the blower slow enough, you won't have any trouble staying under 575. Kinda defeats the purpose though.

I really don't want to hold back the SC, I just want a dependable running car that does not create water temp / heat issues in traffic... if it comes out at 600 rwhp +/- .....I'm Ok with that, I guess I'm just saying that I am not shooting for any specific RWHP number,
