I'm nowhere near the power range you are, but I am at the limits of a tvs2300 and I have had the absolute opposite results with the TPIS throttle body.

When I first got the car back together and it was new it would drive fine, WOT pulls were all good ect. once I started to drive the car more and the summer months came I noticed every time I was stopped at a traffic light for a long period of time as soon as I went to take off my car would go into reduced engine power and service active handling. Having spent what I did on the throttle body I trouble shot every thing I could find online that could possibly cause this issue. from cleaning chassis grounds to checking the under hood fuse block, to even replacing the gas pedal. well I just ignored it for about a year since I hardly drive my car and it wasn't very often that it would happen. finally it started to do it more frequently and it just got to a point that the car would start up in reduced engine power and throw a voltage correlation code between the pedal and throttle position sensor.

I checked everything under the sun and finally tried a NW off a buddys car and it cleared every code and my car didn't have any issues for about a week so I decided to go against the horror stories I had heard and buy myself a NW 102

long story short that was about a year ago and I have yet to have one issue with the nick Williams. I am not saying its going to work at you're boost level, Im just saying that in my experience the TPIS unit is not all it is cracked up to be.

I hope yours was just a bad unit and not the norma but glad you got it figured out

Wilson unit? Was looking at that myself for my other build but the dbw control for Tc from the motec is almost a must

Marcella... Matches the intake on this one...

Other build uses the Marcella 125mm TB but with a Hughes manifold.

The Marcella is nice because the throttle cam is adjustable. Great for tight spaces...

I would think at the level the DBW is no longer working in a blow through that cable pull would be the way to go. I doubt many are still running an E38/67 at these power levels anyway.

You loose traction control based dbw then though :/

I'd rather shut down fuel/ignition than the throttle... We've been testing with the guys from Haltech down here this week on a few Elite 2500 builds their new traction control in the 2.06. Ya it rocks

TPIS unit in place and has worked well without slamming shut to 18psi so far.

Of note it mounts different than the NW so be aware its about 1.5cm difference in height, also required a quick recalibration

Default TB's under boost

Southways 108!! they say you can flit the NW over and it works fine, but I would stay with Southways.

You guys just saved me from buying a NW throttle body. I only wanted it cause it was polished. Do they make a polished oem throttle body? Or should I step up to a 102mm? Car is has a ERL 427ci 6 bolt block with a 2200r blower. 1100rwhp.

Just curious but at what boost level does the NW 102 operate at? Will it work at the base 6 to 8 pounds from a basic kit?
Also if it is flipped over wouldn't it help to keep it open under boost?
Has anyone ran one successfully with this scenario ? Just asking as I see most of the issues are coming from the higher boosted guys making big power.
I have seen many builds with stock TBodys making big power I would think a nicely ported stocker would get the job done for most of us but let's be honest, that dame NW 102 sure looks good😂😂😂

Just updating. At about 24 lbs on the south ways on the 88mm the south ways was physically closing. Wasn't power related. Motor just couldn't stay open under boost. Had to convert to a cable
Pull 105mm

But do we have any members that are running one with 8 to 10 lbs with no issues ? Or does this happen at any boost level?
