Default Dry Sump Oil Pump

What dry sump pump is everyone using in 1000hp plus applications? The car will be ran at mostly half mile events and driven on the street

I've been using a stock pump. I did go thru it and do a little de-burring and checking the by pass plunger operations. Not a lot of options really. Katech sells there modified stock pumps for a decent amount and not knocking them as I'm sure they work great, but not seeing anything else with the stock pan etc... There are other setups being used if your wanting something more race orientated like Aviat and ARE that while they do a better job it really depends on what your going to be doing with the car IMO. The stock stuff has done well for me making 1200+rwhp.

Default Katech Red Pump

It is good for aftermarket blocks rebuilds where bearing clearances have been widened up. Provides 20% more oil pressure. Basically it is a worked over ZR1 pump.

Man I don't care how big the clearances are on your LSX block a stock LS7 or ZR1 pump will put out more than enough oil pressure and volume. GL! I'm sure everyone will keep telling you to get something more expensive. But if yours didn't have any material go thru it due to a motor failure or something of that nature. Even it would be fine. At most I would do is a Katech pump if you want to over kill a street car. Now if your going to go to the road coarse or something of that nature, which by the nature of your build suggests otherwise. I'd spend the money for a total aftermarket setup like I mentioned before. GL!
