Well seems like most folks in here purchase at about $5 a gallon, not sure how do you need, I guess that's dictated by demand. Flammability, haven't read too many accidents regarding the stuff; so same precautions as with handling gasoline I assume?

Yeah. The only bad part about 100% (to me) is it burns with a nearly clear flame.

Was just pointing out it isn't all win/win. Mixing with water lowers the cost, but cost is so low it isn't a big deal. And adding water makes it less flammable, but same thing, not really an issue.

I was referring to using 100% as a win win

$13 for 5 gallons from a local fuel and lube supplier

I was running 70/30 before I found this cheaper supply

Did you have to retune when you moved to 100%? I would assume so. Noticed any difference between the two approaches?

My latest tune was done with no meth whatsoever, so I'm not meth dependent at all at this time...

I run 100% meth but I clearly need to find a cheaper supplier, I'm getting majorly ripped off by local speed shop charging a fortune per 5 gallons. and my car with dual M15 tips goes through this stuff at a pretty good clip if i floor it a lot

Why are you using dual m15 tips? I didn't swap to dual 15s until over 1100, and even then it is too much, and going back down to a 10/15 combo.

Run less injector and run more on method you will make a lot more power because your octane will be much higher.

you could be totally right as I just had the shop put in what they recommended and I'm on crappy CA 91 pump gas but it could very well be too much methanol, I hope to use the car for standing mile and 1/2 mile events occasionally so I think their thought was that using more meth would help with IATs but I could be wrong here.

What is "too much" methanol aside from perhaps an uncomfortable (in case of meth failure) reliance on meth for fuel?

Yes, but he's probably also relying heavily on the methanol to achieve his desired fueling. I'd have to imagine it's scary lean without it.

Oh, and straight M1 for me too. Leaks and flammability aren't much of an issue on the C6. On some platforms, it is an issue though.

it's pro tuned by Matt at GP and he set it at 10.5 afr, and the tune is super conservative at I believe 17" timing as he knows I'm more concerned with reliability and not very concerned about whp really since this thing should make >800whp virtually no matter what

I typically use the dashlogic to put IATs on the dic and then tune also set to pull timing rapidly if IATs spike plus rebuild meth pump about annually so hopefully not an issue but open to suggestions if you guys think i'm doing this wrong

sorry for thread hijack

10.2-10.3 AFR with meth on.

I'm crappy 91 octane too, and even at 1000+ dual 15s was too much.
Downside is pour distribution, lean cylinders, etc. No way in hell I would be running 11.5 with that much meth.

sorry, I meant 10.5, typo. good points on cylinder distribution, it goes back on the dyno 10/15 for some fine tuning so I'll bring some smaller tips and we can play with it then

how much timing do you have on your car Unreal?

91 pump gas, ~12 peak
Had to run 9 degrees on dyno to get a reading because it maxed it out at 12.

On MS109 I bump it to 14. Car runs good there, so never really pushed it. 12 on the street already is too much, so no need to push it.
