Default Disappointed blower performance

Trying to make light of the situation since the other guy posted a similar thread...

No car for a month while this stupid piece of junk gets rebuild. Seriously 2 broken pulleys and now a bad bearing...gotta love quality control!!!

At least I'm getting the right treatment from the seller

Blower whine? How about blower rattle!!!

the hell do I know

Car is daily driven with only 13,000 miles on the blower. Car ate two pulleys, snapped a belt, and now a thrown bearing. Mild build so it's not like I'm overly pushing the thing. Car has seen the 1/4mi twice and a half mile event once.

I'll make it clear, seller of the kit has been more than awesome. However, I'm just kind of surprised at how quality control has been on this unit from the manufacturer. Then they tell me it takes 3 weeks to rebuild the part? Seriously it can be done in a day...two tops. Maybe it's because Paxton can't build a blower worth a damn and are so backlogged on repairs...

Hey!! That's copyright infringement lol

Sorry to hear about your engine problems. Knock on wood my kit has been nothing but reliable so far. Glad to hear the ECS crew is taking care of you.

Well /knock on wood/ the LS3 engine itself has been fine. It's all the parts that came with the kit causing problems needing replacement (pulleys, now blower, etc.)

Sorry to hear you won the "bad luck lottery", but at least everything is getting taken care of.

I hope mine stays together. So far it has been pretty good except for the Boost a Pump! You know it will be your fault Nosferatu due to the recommendation.

if it wasn't requiring so much cost and fabrication I would have considered a turbo setup. I've had turbo cars before and my personal preference is always turbo. Centrifugal is basically a belt-driven turbo. Anyways I'll update the thread as I get more information...

We have spoke to Paxton and your head unit is being covered under warranty. I understand completely that you are frustrated with this, but everyone is doing everything possible to make things right for you. There's really not much more to update other then when you get it back and start enjoying it again.

I feel your pain. I had a brand new T-trim leak oil pretty much right out of the box. Vortech tried to fix it, but no dice. They wanted me to pull it off and send it in for a second attempt, and I wasn't happy about it. I ended up paying the kit manufacturer to swap it out for another new head unit. Pretty poor service by both Vortech/Paxton and the kit maker in my eyes.

All parts have been warranted, all labor is 100% taken care of, we asked Paxton to expedite the repair even though this head unit wasn't purchased threw us or labeled ECS, and we have been following up with the repair to make sure it's getting done. I really don't know what else we can do.

We will purchase roughly 600 head units this year from Paxton, the come back rate is around 2-3%. I really do not think that is something that is cause for alarm. I realize it's frustrating when it's you that it happens to, I had an F2 head unit blow up on me on the first pass scattering metal into a fresh engine so I know the feeling too, but every company involved is doing the right thing here.

Kudos to you and FSP.

My rant is primarily at Paxton not towards ECS as I'm sure you've noticed already.

I know, and thank you! My rant was towards Neutron because he is just in here to cause problems. He is upset with us because he wanted a part from us that we didn't offer, so he goes into any thread he can causing problems, very childish really. It's the Internet though and my skin is as thick as it comes.
