Which Injectors to Buy???
I'm going to be making in the neighborhood of 1100-1200 hp to the rear wheels on a 7.1 liter 434 cubic inch fully forged LS motor using twin 6265 turbos (TTiX Kit). I also have meth injection.
I'm considering going flex fuel, so I've been told the ID 1300 or better yet, ID 1700 because it's bigger than the 1300 and like the 1300, it's corrosion resistant.
I've also been told that just because I move up to a much larger injector, it doesn't mean my MPG will suffer during conservative daily driving around town, cruising with the wife on the highway or in heavy NYC traffic. Apparently, the injectors are smart enough to simply spray only what's required to keep the motor running smoothly.
Is this true, or just a sales pitch? I feel like a bigger injector means my MPG will suffer under all driving scenarios, not just the wide open throttle and racing.
I know that if I do decide to go flex fuel (E85), I'll need much larger injectors due to E85 fuel flow requirements. But if going bigger mean my MPG will suffer (even when only running 93 pump and driving like a grandma), I'll probably just stick to 93 pump and meth injection with the occasional VP 109 and meth combo for roll race events.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

ID1300s should be fine but pushing it.
As long as the injector can inject a short enough pulse there is no issues. Idle/part throttle/etc is all whatever the tuner sets. If that is 14.7 it doesn't matter if you have 50lb injectors or 220lb injectors, as long as the big ones can spray that little of fuel. ID1300, 1700 and 2000 all have ZERO issues doing that.
1300s will be close to maxed out at 1200rwhp on e85. If you are buying fresh might want to get the 1700s.

For that power level the ID1700s would be my choice.

Some really great info guys! I really appreciate it. so far the best price I've found for ID 1700s is $1,750.00. Is that a good price? Anyone know where I can get a better price?
I prefer the 1700s over the 2000s cuz the 1700 are corrosion resistant and rated to handle any type of fuel.

That being said, if you found a good deal on 1300s, they would do just fine also.
1300s are more than enough to max out those turbos/ttix setup.
