Good thread. Awesome to see Procharger reps chiming in.

Guess I have the older tech F-1A on an auto LS3 C6. But I love it. I'm expecting 150mph traps with it (119 in the 1/8th). Not much timing and an 8/4" pulley combo.

Whats your shift point? looks like you are hitting Max impeller speed around 6900 rpm..

Nothing wrong with an F-1A.
It has powered many 8 second cars.

And the midrange "punch" when going from a street hit rocks.

Yeah that punch is what I'm trying to hook right now lol. So far I haven't been able to dead hook it with a 345/35/18 MT. Now I'm trying a 325/45/17 MH. We'll see how it goes. Car feels strong no doubt. I'm happy with it. It may be able to run a high 8 with the right traction and stall/gear setup. But I'm not gonna number chase at the track. I'll have to settle for a mid 9@148+

What tire pressure? i know you dont want to hear about what i went through .. but over 900 rwhp my 18" mickeys became useless in 2nd... they hooked 3rd on the street all the way up to 1100 rwhp though.. 2nd was just WAY too aggressive ...

17psi. They haze the tires pretty good in second. The car seems to mostly go straight so I stay with it. But I haven't done a burnout on the new tires yet so they may just not be broken in yet. I'm hoping with these new 17" M&H after a good burnout that they'll bite.

from my experience ( i havent run the 17s) but from info i gathered.. if you are hazing the 18s.. the 17s wont help.. time for 15s..

From the initial test hit I did on brand new 17s with very slightly damp roads I think they hook as well or better than the 18" MTs. If they don't hook I'l just live with it. I don't plan to spend big money on a 15" setup for the car. I'll just learn to drive it different.

I do think with a decent burnout it will be better. I'll find out this weekend.

Shortblock is finished. Before installing the new heads we decided to switch to a link-bar style lifter. We went with the Morel 5206s. Was going to go with the 5294s but was told they weren't a good choice for a street car due to their tighter clearances. Should hopefully have the longblock together at the end of today. My timing chain is a little loose so we are tracking down a replacement right now.

Wiseco sure did get the new pistons and pins here quickly!

Looks nice!

What kind of main/rod bearings did you end up using?

Looking good Running the 5206's myself with no issues to date. The timing chains always feel loose to me but supposedly its normal.

Thanks. We are using Clevite bearings throughout.

IIRC
MICB663HN rod bearings
MIMS2199H main bearings

That is nice to hear. How long have you been running them? I guess the chain was loose enough to cause concern.
