FSP is at it again
So I just dropped my car (12 GS M6) off to Matt this morning. Currently it has a FSP custom grind cam (231/239 113lsa) and headers on it making 488rwhp and 448rwtq. Over the weekend it went 145.7 at the Ocala Wannagofast event.
Adding an ECS 1500 plus meth! Any guesses on my new power levels???

Enjoy the new found power and enjoy finding tires that'll make it hook.

I'm going to guess 700whp, much over that and a lot of tuners i think get nervous on stock bottom end, although many make much more than that.
in for vids! should be a blast!

M/T 305/35-19 ET Street (Drag Radials) or the same size in Nitto NT05R have been working for Nosferatu. He has a great thread on his tire performance. Normal Street tires didn't cut it for me. At 750 RWHP it is dangerous without Drag Radials even if you drive it in the rain every once in a while.

Still on stock clutch. I spoke with Matt about longevity....I expect to stay on this clutch until later in the year and then step up to something beefier.

Unless you're a dedicated drag racer, clutches are a wear item just like brake pads. Get all the mileage you can out of it and change to something better when it's worn out. No reason to change out a perfectly good working stock clutch.
Edit...oh, and congrats on the power upgrade. Makes a really fun car INSANELY fun!

Just got back from my first spirited drive on an out of the way 4 lane road that is through the middle of an industrial area and deserted on Sundays. Holy Crap!!!!! I guess the biggest challenge to overcome is throttle management through first and second gears. When I was cam only, I needed to be careful in first, but could pretty much hammer second. Well, that doesn't fly anymore. On my first hit, I spun a little through first and then hammered second....well, that was a mistake. Massive tire spin!!!! Second hit went better with careful throttle application into third gear. This was on my Bridgestone RF's. I do have drag radials that I through on for track days, I'll try those out next weekend.
