Default Motor is out: Cam change or No? Eforce Z06

My daily driver '06 Z06 is going back together with forged pistons.
I am happy with the HP numbers near (700rwhp) and driveability.
Even the builder says it's not critical to change the cam but I'm wondering if a properly designed "blower cam" will add reliability for those top end runs one may embark upon from time to time.

I'm thinking cylinder pressure or something.

Otherwise, I want OEM manners in everything from heavy traffic to mountain roads.

Really could use some advice on this.
Thanks!

Do it now or pay twice. LJMS or BTR for a blower cam.

I would have a cam spec'd specifically for what you want. A smart "cam guy" will listen and give you exactly what you want. I used Pat G. myself, and specified that I wanted stock drivability, very mild lope, and of course maximum power under those conditions. I got exactly what I wanted from it.

mild cams can be spec'd and tuned if your tuner is good to basically run like stock. no reason not to imo

Brian Tooley spec'd my blower cam. I'd do the cam too

Why not put a cam in while its apart? Even if it's mild it will make more power than a stock cam, and have a better power band.

It would make sense to do the cam now while your engine is being assembled.

+1 for the cam. You will enjoy the extra 50 wheel horsepower.
