extra HP when adding Meth

Burning Brakes
Im down, I'm actually in the market for a good kit that I can run with the added fail safe and boost control. The one I had on my Evo years back (Aquamist) I could run off 93 Oct no meth 24psi and just by turning the kit on it would add timing and bump boost up to 33psi it would go from 465whp -610whp on the fly. Let me know if your down for the job and I'll buy.

Dave,
What kind of connection(s) and wiring needs to be done? I just can't picture it in my head. Even better, would it come with some instructions? I know every tune will be different but the basic tables that need to be changed would be great.
I like this method a lot better to control AF ratio and timing. I really don't trust the use of IATs to lower timing and meth dependency with a leaner AF ratio.

Its 4 wires coming out of a box.
Power, Ground. Signal in, signal out. Hook power and ground up, hook a 0-5V to input that you switch anyway you want, and output the flex fuel pin on ECU. Wire it to meth pressure sensor, switch, dial, or however you want to vary the flex fuel input.
Then edit flex fuel tables in ECU to make it do what you want.

Meth/ethanol advance:
Meth pressure (I also have the pressure sensor connected to HPTuners)

Here is a log from vcm scanner. Pay attention to flex fuel advance + Alcohol % in "table display"
I shut her down after this run as I was running out of fuel pump. Pressure dropped 10 psi. Hooked up a walbro 255 ontop and got rid of my KB BAP which looks like was failing on the dyno. It looks like KB BAP 20 amp cannot be used on a Walbro 450 oops. So I'll run it off the Mechman alternator which already puts out 14.6 + a stock walbro should be more than enough.

Four wires:
Power - this goes to ignition 12v
Ground - this goes to ground (if that wasn't obvious, hit yourself in the face with a meat tenderizer)
Signal Out - this goes to the ECM connector
Trigger - this wire switches the signal generator to spit out a 100% ethanol content when it is connected to ground. When this wire is not connected to ground, the thing spits out a 0% ethanol signal
You cannot use this in addition to flex fuel because it consumes the flex fuel input on the ECM (and consequently, you use the flex fuel modifiers to get the extra timing or fuel).

Dave made it a while back it's small and works with OEM, you can literally hide it in your wiring harness that's how small it is! For meth pump use a series of relays if you search for one of my posts from a few years back on how I wired mine.

They just have "failsafe outputs". You still have to come up with a way to use that output (just connects to ground or + I would assume) to pull timing/boost/whatever
They sure as heck aren't manipulating the flex fuel input on GM ECM's
Here's the specs from aquamist failsafe outputs

HFS-4 Failsafe outputs : Relay NO/NC, 0/5/8v digital map switching, .5-4.5V Analog output, Raw flowsensor pulse output – based on flowsensor, level sensor(delayed) and On/Off switch

They just give you an output like SCH said, but you have to have a way to deal with that output. You could wire the other stuff like that to this box, then the ECU.
Otherwise you need to wire the failsafe in those systems to something like a LPE timing box, boost controller, etc to actually do something.
Speaking of cool electronics, just got first prototypes of something that is pretty trick and would work great with this little box.

It'd require custom programming which I just don't have time for anymore. Between SolidWorks, ANSYS, MasterCam, the new five axis, and running my printer in addition to tuning, I'm slammed.
