Default ECS removing restrictor plate

I am currently running ecs1500, full catless exhaust, g6x3 cam, ECS stage 1 fuel...
Car made 624/543 on 93 pump gas no meth.
I'm getting ready to have the car tuned for e85 I was thinking of having the restrictor plate removed at the same time. Just curious if this would be a safe setup on e85 and what kind of gains can I expect?

What pulley is on the blower?

"Safe" is a bit relative when you're going to be pushing upwards of double the HP GM intended.. but plenty of people have done it before you with a remarkably low failure rate.

Obviously the tune is critical. E85 is awesome for making stock bottom ends survive.

Maxed out the 1500 blower is capable of somewhere in the 800's RWHP wise. Tune aggressiveness will play a big part in where you end up

ECS base kit comes with a 3.25 pulley.

Many have done it on pump+meth.

It will have a lot to do with the tune

No restrictor, headers, fuel pump upgrade, and meth will get you in the 700s. Some with cams are in the neighborhood of 800. That is on pump gas.

I see a lot of people doing it with meth. But I will be running no meth just e85.

I doubt your stage 1 fuel system and injectors will cut it for E85 if they are what came with the kit.

I agree with MarsC6. Go with iD1300's(only injector specially built for corn) and a big fuel system. That way you never have to upgrade it up to 1000rwhp.

If you're upgrading injectors I'd go with ID1300's too...

My guess is 780 rwhp, let's see how close you get.

Up the injectors and make your stg 1 fuel system into our stg 2 by simply adding the block off's for the factory regulator while adding a boost referenced regulator. I can put a package price together for you if your interested.

I was of the understanding that my Bosch 044 would not work well with e85?

will an ECS stage 2 fuel system supply 800whp of E85 fuel without any methanol kit? seems like might be asking more of that system than is possible. but maybe you guys have done this before with stage2 and e85
