Supercharger driving experince
I have been on the fence about getting a supercharger for my corvette for a few years and finally pulled the trigger. The car was somewhat fast before but nothing great. The horsepower increase from stock 395rwhp to 650rwhp was very noticeable, It now acts and drives like a true supercar. The power increase is mind boggling and fun as hell. I can honestly say I'm done with upgrades since the power is plenty for know, Did I say know leaving the door open?

I did the same thing for years (contemplating ) and finally boosted it last spring. .....wish I would have done it sooner....btw,the mod bug never ends...I said the same thing and am now planning to turn up the wick...lol. what are the details of your build?

Leave power where it is at, and working drivetrain/suspension/handling.

650whp in a vette is a SERIOUSLY fast street car. I'ts crazy how easy and reliable a setup like that in a vette can be too on almost all stock stuff with bolt on kit. time for better tires!

I tend to agree... costs and the potential for expensive stuff to break really start going up once you start getting into the 800+ range.
Where you're at now is fun as hell and will still beat just about anything on the street, as long as you aren't in Texas that is

yeah, only in Houston or on this board is 650whp not just absurdly fast. hahaha
I think these cars seem to make a step change function in cost/time and complexity once you get >700whp and then again around 1k whp

Yeah, I have 672RWHP and I'm just moderately fast for Dallas. It'd be even worse if I was in Houston. Having said that though, I agree that around 650RW is the sweet spot for these cars. Mine has just the A&A V3 Si blower with a 3.6" pulley, meth and Z06 exhaust manifolds. Plus I'm still on the stock clutch and it's holding up fine.

OP, I couldn't believe my car after the tune. I will say give it a few 1000 miles and you'll want it to be faster. This is the worst kind of drug...

I cant agree more, most of my friends claim my car is fast then I come here or out on a Saturday (Houston) just to be reminded of how I'm still small potatoes in the grand scheme of things. Now to add meth and hop it up another 50-75rwhp.

650-700 rwhp is perfect... After that, it gets VERY expensive to keep them alive, hard to get traction on the street and its a lot more dangerous when playing on the street.
My buddy has a 700 rwhp Grand Sport A6 and that car is perfect all around... fast, reliable...and he doesn't have that much money tied up in it... (maybe $10K in mods)..
Its the perfect level to beat some cars on the street, but stock like reliability.
I honestly had more fun with my car at 622rwhp then I do at 850+...and I drove it a hell of a lot more..
