Price to hit 1500whp? C6Z

Burning Brakes
Nobody wants to change parts with his/her setup at dyno, but it is not uncommon that during dyno runs, evidence is found that something is not working properly, or something should not be used (at that power level). Being it too hot plugs, slipping belt, too low fuel pressure and so on.
With +1500rwhp, a NW 102 Throttle Body is a prime example of that.
P1515 and/or P1516 is something which may become a problem with GM PCM.

What is that on top?
I can't figure out what I'm looking at on the title picture. Looks sorta like a turbo, but it looks belt-driven. I feel sorta foolish for asking, because I thought I knew engines fairly well...

Supremacy 1 car at a time
to be clear am now heading up to 150K for the build and maybe going more for the next season!
it's looks easy on papers but you'll find it when you start working on it.

Honestly, to the OP, I wouldnt really be worried about a power number. If you want a stupid fast car, plan on how fast you want to go and build around that. For example, In my experience the easiest way to go 9s in the c6z is auto swap, Heads cam, bolt ons. If you want to go faster than that then it adds up even quicker. If I had to do it all over again I would of picked up a roller, Went with a powerglide/9 inch and a decent iron block motor on spray. I think youll be much happier to make a clear cut goal of track times or whatever youre chasing and build around that. I agree with the others here, 1500hp isnt a realistic goal for 99% of people. The faster you want to go, the more expensive it gets.
When I realized this I found myself thinking if its all worth it to me or not. I ended up going auto and on motor I run almost mid 9s, and leaving it at that. If you want to go much faster than that then I recommend you look into another platform. I picked up a 25.3 cage foxbody with a 4 link and built 9 inch, built trans, and now doing the motor for 10k. It will easily be an 8 second car well under 20,000. For whatever your goals are, I dont think the c6 is the best chassis to do it on. IMO I couldnt even imagine how much work a 1500hp c6 would be. I much rather have a 9 second street driven car that I can drive to and from the track, meets, etc.

i have had superchargers on all of my vettes... if you want that power go with turbo esp. if you want to turn it down for daily driving. But i am not sure you can detune that much from 1500hp to 800hp?? anyway as for cost just open a HELOC against your house and be prepared to spend it. my LQ9 + LS6 heads which was converted to a 6 bolt cost 12k 7 years ago and still runs strong. it was built by lamar walden automotive in doraville ga. fuel system will be around 4k, drivetrain can be around 8k and these aren't install prices.
good luck!
