700whp and a stock auto .. can I get 9's?
My first round of mods on my bone stock LS3 has rewarded me with a 10.44@139 timeslip.
This was made possible by the crew at Florida Speed and Power when they installed the ECS SC1500 kit, the "small" blower cam, headers and methanol.
Power jumped from 370whp to 670whp and 632tq.
The question is can I upgrade the boostapump and 60lb injectors that come with the kit to the ECS stage 1 fuel and ID850 injectors for another 70whp and expect to get into the 9's with basically a stock Corvette? (stock bottom end, transmission, converter, etc...)

Gonna need a stall
I guess what I'm wondering is has anyone done this yet? What kind of horsepower and trap speed would it take to chug through the slow start that the stock converter yields.

Why not put a converter in?

Drop your 60 foot to 1.58 or 1.60 and you re in the 9s.Plenty of horsepower and mile an hour in your current set up to get there.Remember every tenth in the first 60 feet you chop is worth 2 tenths at the end of the quarter mile.A perfectly set up c6 vette gets in the 9.95 zone with 650 rwhp there is no reason your car cant do it.Fartpipe ran 10.26 with an all stock Zr1 and Kyle Lemish ran 10.33 with another Zr1 and they dyno about 520 ish to the rear wheels and were stick cars.Mph for both cars was around 133.Both cars only had drag radials to aid traction.Get out of the hole and collect your 9 second slip.

I have the same mods you do. Mine made 724/622 and I ran a 10.46@141 with a 1.85 60ft. I kinda rolled into the throttle off the line so there is definitely room for improvement. Mine was ran full weight on 305/35/19 MTdr's out back. Kinda wish I had ran it again before the new setup but I think 9s is doable with the right DA.

No converter No 9's
My question was answered last night. Without a decent 60ft a 9 second time is difficult to obtain. At least for me anyway. Bumped the power up to 750whp for a 145mph trap speed but the stock TC won't let it fly

We have several guys who consistently dip into the 9's with our base kit-restirctor removed, ARH, meth injection and a drag radial.
A few have posted in this section over the years, it's definitely doable.
I'll see if I can find some time slips for you.
Not bad for only four mods total!

Harleyrider, you'll go 9.70s-9.80s with a good converter and no other changes..(probably more like 9.60s). You're giving up 4 tenths in the 60'.
Call FTI, order a converter, go 1.4x 60's...or 1.3x on a drag pack.

Dunno what to tell you. These were not great runs but 60's were decent on stock converter. If I remember right was about 600 rwhp then. Running 275/45/17 MT's.

My buddy has a 14' 5.0 with a big Kenne Bell blower, it goes 1.37 60's on the stock 6R80 converter... and that's only 302" and a 4000lb raceweight... Instant boost = good 60'.
A good converter with a centrifugal is the ticket. My converter flashes to 5200, at which point I'm making 15-16 psi...so I'm basically at 15 psi before I move 5'.... If you can hook it, that's where the 1.2x 60' comes from. Ofcourse that's where all the broken axles come from too...
