Hey everyone just got my meth injection and will be getting tuned this week and I'm trying to run a 50:50 mix of water meth. I have a bunch of bottles of heet and distilled water and was curious if anyone knows how many bottles to add to make a proper 50:50. Any help would be appreciated

I run 50/50 but always buy it premixed. JEGS sells boost juice on Amazon. Its like $32 for 4 gallons shipped to your door (prime member)

Yeah I've seen those but trying to be as economical as possible and save some money and from what I've read mixing your own is a lot cheaper in the long run.

What's the methanol % in that wiper fluid?

IMO you'd be better off either buying something pre-mixed or getting 100% methanol and then diluting it 1:1 with water

Its not a wiper fluid it's a additive to keep fuel lines from freezing its 99% meth

Then I'm not sure what the question is? If you want 50/50 meth/water then mix equal parts of meth and water...

1 gallon of this stuff (assuming it's 99% methanol), 1 gallon of water

Water weighs more than methanol mixing it by volume doesn't give you a 50/50 mixture

Does it really matter?

If you want 50% methanol by volume then mix them 1:1 by volume and it's right.

If you want to go 50% by weight then look up the densities or put them on a scale.. not hard

Ok no need to be a dick I don't have a scale with me I brought my car to a tuner from out of town and needed just a quick answer with the materials I have on hand which is the heet additive and distilled water was just hoping someone has used this combination before and could give me a quick answer I get there are ways to do it and they sell pre mixed products I've done the research I just needed a temporary solution to get it tuned

Mix 55 parts methanol, 45 parts water and that will get you close to 50/50 by weight. It really doesn't matter which way you do it, the key is to keep mixing it consistently so nothing is changing from what it was tuned on.

There is no reason you can't just do 50:50 by volume and call it good though..

This is how I used to make my own mix. IT was easy to do, without the hassle of weighing, etc...

Speaking of doing it economically. Buy it from Sunoco or VP fuels, either in 5gal pails, or go to a distributor who will sell you any quantity you want out of their 55gal drumbs.

That is what I did, brought my own 5 gal can, and filled it for $5 p/gal. This was a couple yrs ago, so it might be more like $6-7 gal now.

Or just run 100% meth and don't worry about mixing anything. Cheap, easy, and consistent.

I paid $26 for 5 gallons of 100% from Sunoco.. I thought that was a fair price.
