Default ECS 1500 LS2 how big of a cam can I get

I want the lumpiest cam possible but I understand you can only go so big with a blower. Which manufacturer is the best. Links to videos would be appreciated! I've already been warned by the police three times in the last two weeks about the noise that comes out of my car, muffler delete and the loudest blow off valve ECS makes, if they're not writing tickets I guess it doesn't sound mean enough!

As big as you want. Why can't you go big with a blower? Hint: you can.

If you haven't already purchased a cam you can get a cam that sounds great and will be optimized for the blower. Not all N/A cams will work well with a blower though. My car (C6Z) currently has a Katech Torquer 110 and I was told by two of the better tuners in my area that it would be dumb to not swap the cam for a cam more suited towards a blower application.

No need for a big stupid lopey cam with boost. Let the blower do the work and get a blower cam to aid it. Forget about sound and all that silliness and get a cam that works best not "sounds" best.

For arguments sake though this is my cam with the exhaust open. Stock NPP with 1 7/8 long tubes.

There isn't really a limit on cam size with an SC and an M6. I tend to like "medium size" blower cams for best performance but have tuned cars with N/A cams like a G6X3 that the owner didn't want to change when adding a blower and it worked out fine power wise.

My personal car only has a 22x/23x 116 cam in a 377 and makes well over 800whp at 14 psi. Drives pretty much stock.

That's about what I'm at. 220/240, 117. With some idle RPM/spark adapt tune changes you can make it idle pretty rough or quite smooth.

A bit small on intake duration but I'm sure it drives very smooth and if that was the number one consideration it makes perfect sense.

You got it. I wanted it to stay pretty smooth.. in hindsight I probably would have been happy with slightly more lope, but I'm sure as hell not doing that job again

The first cam I had in my stock bottom end was a 222/232 117. Did well for that combo.

Mine is 221/240 117+5. It drives like stock and it has a strong low to midrange but it keeps pulling to 6.8-7k. Brian Tooley spec'd for me.

Running a taxi cam at 226/246 119+3. Idles like stock at 750 but makes power right to 7000 rpm. Exactly what I wanted. No lope. Sleeper status.

Here is how it sounds... flaps open and closed.

I can't help it I'm lovin the lope. Detoxx your cam sounds awsome. I was thinking of about the same for mine. My car isn't as loud as yours. I have stock exaust manifolds and working cats so it's a little louder than stock at idle (you would think removing the mufflers would be a huge difference but it's not) it's when I get on it or rev the engine that gets up the skirts of the police. I'm not trying to **** them off and I don't want any of their attention. So I've had to change the way I drive here, I've only had the blower on the car for about 3 weeks. Anyway the cam is the next thing on the neverending list and I appreciate everbodys input!

So boring, isn't it.

With a poor tune(r), it would run like a crap, buck and surge as hell, but perhaps make a same RWHP at WOT as your car.

But at least the idle would sound very nasty. :-)
