Default Well She is up and running. 200 Shot direct port LS7

Last week I got my car on the dyno after the Nitrous express Direct port/msd intake install was complete. The shop ran into some issues tuning the car before me but we did manage to get some tuning done on my car. We had a issue with knock due to ****** fuel I got from the local pump. Must of been old from the winter. The car is only running on 19* or 20* timing NA and Im pulling 11* with the LNC2000 when the nitrous is activated. I am also using the Maximizer 4 controller and running c16 in the stand alone fuel cell.

The engine is a built LS7 with diamond forged pistons. WCCh heads. ARH headers, x-pipe, and borla exhaust. NW102 and msd intake. Made 551 on a very conservitive dyno this time. 587 on the dyno at TPIS last time.

200 shot of nitrous running really rich only netted me 704 rwhp with the 11* pulled and a AFR of high 10s.

More tuning and Playing with this to come. I had to get a 2nd bottle today. After I install that, I will tune more. Should make upwards of 800 rwhp when done I hope.

And a dyno video

When do you have the nitrous activating? I would add some timing back in it. 11 degrees is a lot for just a 200 shot especially using C16

Agreed... running 8-9* at wot is asking for extremely high egts too

I backed it down to 9 at the track on saturday but I didnt get a pass due to the bottle being low. I wanted to make a pass and check plugs before I started backing it down.

I have it set to come on above 3500 rpm and 85% throttle and to go off at 6800 Rpm. I am running it MPH based. Here is a photo of the tune.

Isnt 8* about normal for a 200 shot?

Pulling 8 for a 200 shot is the general rule of thumb, but running 8 at wot seems excessively low.

I am using a LNC 2000 to pull timing. I am not pulling it in the tune. That being said, It allows me to set a number to pull and be done. I can not set the curve with it.

I know how they work, by pulling it youre pulling timing from the tune "technically". So instead of being 19-20 at wot youre running 8-9, which creates high EGT temps.

yes the 11* is pulled from the whole curve. I wanted to not lose power on my NA tune so I chose to go with the LNC2000. I plan on adding some timing back into it but need to get to the track with a couple of bottles first so I can make some full 1/4 mile pulls and shut her down to check the plugs. the AFR is extremely rich too. That is why I am debating going to a 12 fuel jet.

Also The NA tune should be at mid 20s. I need to get it back on the dyno with good fuel in it to turn the timing back up. Hopefully that will happen this week.

You're doing it the correct way, you should pull timing from the entire curve. I just think you're too low at na wot then pulling a little too much on the shot. If you up the na timing to mid 20s like you plan and pull a little less on the shot you'll be where it should be.

Its been about 15 years since I had a nitrous car and that was for a short period of time lol. I have been building a procharged beast for the last 5 years LOL. So this nitrous stuff is new to me and I am learning as I go. Ill get there.

I need to thank the guys at Nitrous express for being so patient with me . I have had alot of questions. Great guys to deal with!

I would recommend an RPM based ramp curve instead of MPH. Try 3500-4200 as your 0-100% set point. I'd go 50-100% over that RPM range. I would also have the TPS set point at 100% of your TPS voltage value in the event you need to "peddle" the car. Once you get comfortable with that try your hand at time based so you can spray it out of the hole. When you get ready for that - shoot me a PM.

im also running 200 on mine but mine is a ls3 on e85 . with maxnos (116) in the stand alone but i am only pulling 7* i know everyone says 8 and 8* is the normal rule of thumb but with the e85 there is no detonation and the burn on the strap is really good .. i also have a full NX system . and the max4 is great man just gotta play with it .. i have mine coming on at 100% tp and cutting out at 6300 for the shift .. good luck man .. what hz are you running the noids at?
