Chevelle Resto Mod lq4 6.0 to 408 ctsv/zl1 supercharger work well?
As a project I'm restoring a 1966 chevelle and I have bought a lq4 6.0 and my goal is to be over 500whp and somewhere close to that for tq. Going to make it into a 408 ci. Instead of spending $2500ish on aftermarket heads, I was wondering about picking up a stock supercharger from a ctsv or zl1 for around $1000. This would get me over the 500 mark easier I think and be more cost effective. Does anyone have any experience with this working well? Can those stock blowers keep up with a 408?
Also if anyone has any 408 dyno numbers, always good to know. Thanks

I had a gen 2 CTSV. With a decent cam, stock heads and stock blower you should be able to get over 600rwhp with upper and lower pullies. This is assuming you're doing headers, a nice 4-4.5" cold air, 90mm tb and ZL1 lid.
