CLutch Issue
12 GS M6. ECS1500 plus meth, cam, headers. Just shy of 700rwhp. Still on stock clutch. 21,000 miles. About 1500 miles since SC install. I was at the track last week and on about my third(maybe 4th) run, burnout went fine, staged the car, launched at about 3,000 rpm. clutch pedal only came back up partially. Engine revved way up but car hardly moved. I was able to hook my foot around the back side of the clutch pedal and pull it back out to fully engage the clutch. Returned to staging area and let the clutch cool but didn't run again. Car drove home fine and fine since (although without any aggressive launches). I do the Ranger clutch fluid changes regularly, and had done a change the weekend prior to going to the track. A couple of questions.....is the clutch toast? Will it survive anymore track days? It was recommended that I try 2nd gear burnouts instead of 1st gear burnouts as they will be easier on the clutch....will this help? I had plans to replace the clutch at the end of the summer. Is it time to expedite that plan?

Melting Slicks
Time for a clutch... GM had a recall on the master cylinder you can get that done under warranty and see if it helps in the meantime but seems to me it could be on Its way out, I'd highly recommend a 2nd gear burnout at the strip!
