Anyone running ECS stage 2 fuel system?
Is anyone running this with e85? What power levels are you guys at? Interested in doing it on my car currently making 800whp. Need a fuel system to get near/over 1000.

sub'd. I'm on ECS stage 2 but only on pump gas with dual nozzle methanol. 900whp.
I think SloPoc was running dual external pumps and closing in on 1k whp with nitrous?

We happened to have recently lowered the pricing on our fuel systems pretty substantially too btw.

Would the stage 2 with an aeromotive eliminator still be considered stage 2? I didn't even know you had a stage 3 fuel system. I am spraying meth in my setup.

Stg 2 is adding the regulator block off's, boost referenced regulator and return lines.
Stg 3 is upgrading the fuel pump to the A1000/Eliminator etc.
Stg 4 is full custom fuel lines, -10 feed for more supply. Those are basically built to your spec's since most cars are very different at that level.

Can I make a safe 1000-1100whp on e85 with meth with your stage 3 setup?

We make 800-850whp with E85/meth and the stage 1 all day long. No BAP. Just the right injectors, meth, and the bosch pump. Keep in mind that the later model cars have the larger pump from the factory.
The ECS fuel plate beats the heck out of tapping the tank and saying a hail mary.

dual nozzle meth. one M10 tip and one M15 tip. 80lb siemens injectors. Fuel pressure rock solid all the way through 5th gear too.
I have the A1000 external pump.
I think 800whp with stock pump and meth probably works on the street for short blasts and may look ok on the dyno but I bet if you try a 1/2 mile pull and log fuel pressures good chance your fuel pressure would be dropping. My car originally made 870whp with dual meth, z6 z06 pump and BAP, and we did not realize the A1000 was not coming on. On the dyno and street it was fine but on longer pulls you could see fuel start to drop off and found wiring issue with A1000. Fixed that and now rock solid.

hey Doug,
have you guys ever max'd out your top level external fuel system setup?
I had no idea you have built cars using your fuel system at 1,100+ whp on E85
I'm always curious why so many spend $4k+ on a FORE triple pump setup if a comparatively simple/cheap external setup it seems could do the job for probably half the cost of lower and less issues.

I feel the exact opposite. I run dual external pumps, and I like to know that if one fails, the other will cover me from losing an engine by running lean.

I would probably do an ECS setup if I had to go back and redo it all, but ohh well.

I rather the pump leave me stranded and calling the boss to bring the trailer then hurting the engine when the second pump failed. We had massive issues with pumps in one of our diesel trucks 10-15 years ago (to the tune of 5-6 pumps in a 3 year span before going mechanical) so I'm always waiting for one to die.

The chances of them both dying at the same time are very small. With your 1 pump, if it starts to give up during a full throttle run, you risk damage to the engine IMO.
