The gear noise?
It's really hard to tell how loud noises are in video. Mine sounds totally different in person

My Novi 1500 made tons of rattling and gear noise at first. I contacted Paxton and ecs about it with great support. After 500 miles the noise calmed down and all has been well.

It's hard to tell in the video. Mine just has a whistling sound which I am sure when some people hear think it's something wrong with my car but yet car people know it's the blower.

Safety Car
My 86 yr. old mother asked me "what's that whistling noise?" I responded, "it's a supercharger". She said "Oh" not knowing what I was taking about.
My A&A V3 does not sound like the video, just a whistling sound. I believe some S/C head units are just louder than
others. The question is what is normal range of noise?

Mine sounds like that in videos too. Hood down, in the car, I've never noticed it

Melting Slicks
Mine did that at first.. I called Doug freaked out. It turned out to be belt slop in my case. We went with the shortest/tightest belt we could fit on and it stopped. It does still make a light rattling noise but that's actually just how the blower sounds.
You can actually hear mine spool all the time though:

Burning Brakes
mine made a similar noise too. it will quiet down with some miles on it, although it will never totally go away. after it breaks in, you shouldn't be able to hear that sound with the hood closed.

Sounds normal to me. All the self contained Vortech/Paxton headunits sound like that.
