ECS guys chime in please. Need help picking the correct HB and injectors.
To keep it short I've got a used ECS kit waiting to go in with meth and stage 1 fuel system.
I'd like to upgrade the HB and need to pick injectors. I'd like to stay with a 6-rib and dont mind paying extra for ATI if its really the best for the long run. As far as injectors go I know the ECS kit comes with 60lbs, but would it be better to go slightly larger if I intend to push the car past 700whp later on?
Suggestions on brands/types of either and preferred vendors? Im in Houston if that means anything.
2011 A6 GS.
Thanks in advance yall.

I suggest the DW1200 injectors. This will allow you to run E85 down the road. Also, I would go at least 8 rib ati pulley. I have the DW1500 and a IW 8 rib going in this week for my ECS1500 kit. Im hoping for 775-800 whp on E85.

Yes I'm over 700whp and I have an auto GS.

Yes, I do have access to E85. With the ECS stage 1 fuel system and the injectors suggested is there anything else I'd need to address to run E85 other than the tune?
Can I use that same HB you're using with the stock pulley system?

Need flex fuel sensor or kit so tune is adjusted based on ethanol content.
Google DSX flex fuel and you'll find what you need, they have a plug and play solution. Tune still has to be changed to enable the sensor but that's not hard to do.
I'm running ID1000's fine on a stock displacement engine. They also have a few sizes now that are built specifically for E85, I can't recall the sizes off hand.. but that is something worth looking into. They aren't the cheapest out there for sure, but do include accurate injector data that makes tuning a whole lot easier.

As Schnitzel ( :p ) said..go with a DSX kit and be done with it. A good tune with the 10% OD and the 3.25" blower pulley will have you in the 700s easily.
I don't run a restrictor and I am stock cam FYI.

I would run a 10 rib 10% OD IW and atleast ID1000s and be done with it. If you can swing it, get some ID1300s.

Great info y'all, thank you.
Any vendors you have had good experience with? Id like to get everything from one place if possible.

Ok so I know where to get the e85 kit, now I've got a new question: Is there still an advantage to running the meth kit with e85?
#13
Well crap, I've got the meth kit sitting in the garage... I take it I need to decide if I would rather refill meth or stick with purely ethanol...?

Meth still has advantages and I still run it with e85.

So, 700hp street car that occasionally goes on 4 hr road trips. Pump gas and meth vs. ethanol and no meth.
I'm starting to lean towards pump gas and meth. Wouldn't want to risk getting caught in a rural area without ethanol.
Are there injectors I can use that will work with both? Say down the road I decide to go dedicated Ethanol.

In that case, just flex fuel it and be done.
Both keep the meth kit for when you want more later.

Obviously I wouldn't want to be making 700rhwp+ on 93 by itself, but there's no reason you couldn't drive it anywhere on 93 if you're being reasonable about it, even more so if tune is setup to pull timing/run richer on E0-E10 (which it should be)
That is the beauty of having a flex fuel sensor

Can beat on it on 93 too, just won't make as much power. Car will adjust fuel and timing to be safe on either gas. May make 600 on 93 and 700 on e85 for example.
