Default aps twin turbo c6 kit

So i recently came upon what i think is a hell of a local deal. I have access to buy a used aps twin turbo kit. It came off a perfectly running car and i kno kit is legit and makes power. Really looking to see pros/cons of this kit. I kno its been out of production in the US for a while but wanting to see from personal experience how reliable this kit is as i drive my car quiet a bit. Pics and vids of kit installed are greatly appreciated.

I know there is a local one for sale here for $3500 or so. Decent kit to bolt on and make 600-700rwhp. Not a fan out working on it, or how tight stuff is.

Yea that's the one. It's a complete kit and a pretty good deal just like it cus it's a bolt on kit I'll get to keep ac and everything as I drive my car quiet a bit tbh.

Good guy selling the kit. Its a decent setup, but a tight fit. For $3500 or so, hard to beat.

I ran this setup on my C5 and it was extremely torquey down low.
My car made 500 torque at the tires by 3200 rpm.
Made for a very responsive street car using pump gas.
Roll-on performance was virtually instantaneous.
Rolling burnouts at 60 mph was fun.
Very well made kit and reliable.
I had about 50K miles on the kit when I sold it.
No problems.

It's a good kit up to about 700 whp if you can uncork the inlets by running a larger hose than the aps hose (I ran 2.75" vs the 2.5" aps), or if you have the courage, run the turbos without inlets at all.

Great low end torque but the T25 hot side has real limitations when you start pushing the boost.
I think that adding meth injection with pump gas would be the key.
On my C5 with pump gas, no meth, 10-12 psi, I could only run about 8 degrees timing at peak torque (4600 rpm) due to potential knock, but the car made 600/600 at the tire.

Yea i kno the guy selling it and I kno his car performed pretty good for what it was. Like u said seems pretty cheap to pass up on even tho i wasn't even considering it.

I'm not worried about the power tbh. I'd be happy with 500-600 hp as I am still on stock tranny, clutch and rear end on my 05. I was more concerned of the reliability of how it would handle the heat here in AZ and if it handles the abuse of being driven often as i kno they sit sorta low. The car is a cam only car atm so i'm sure i'd feel the bump in power.

Heat is always an issue here. Would plan on cooling upgrades.

Yea i drive mine daily and it stays pretty cool with all the stock stuff just not sure how much temps will increase from the added stuff that goes along with the kit. Its either turbo the vette or buy a single ls swapped rx7 and sell the vette

we installed that kit on the car actually, it's a very well done kit but a ton of time to install it lol. You will be fine if you do our cooling package and be able to drive it in the summer. you aren't blasting on it in the middle of july in the day but the car will have good temps and ac will never shut off.

just for reference I see an aps kit for sale for 5k right now, so 3500 seems pretty decent. but you'll likely have another 5k in supporting mods

I wouldn't think you'd go TT for that kind of power, which is what I think your point is, so I agree. But for someone looking to go TT it seems very affordable.

He is talking about a specific kit here, that is a great deal. In this case, grab it, add a radiator/fan, and enjoy ~600rwhp.

I actually got a better deal that mentioned as i've known him for a bit now and hes a good guy. Made it hard not to buy it but yea the plan is to just install and keep it simple. I would be happy with a 550-600 rwhp set up. The install is going to be the tough part tho need to see who i can have install it without breaking my wallet. I'll be picking it up today and hopefully have it installed in the next couple of weeks

If interested we have done a lot of these kits. It's every bit of 20+ hours of labor though. Not a cheap kit to install but no quality TT kit is

Just gonna use this as a build thread from now on.
Have my tune scheduled with NicD for the 10th so car was dropped off today to begin assembly. Not sure what to expect as when I put the cam in I wasn't planning on going FI but hoping to Crack low 600s but I'd be happy with high 5s. Car will have 60 lbs injector, kb bap, 2 bar map sensor, colder plugs, ordered lighter waste gate Springs as I don't plan to run anything past 7 psi for now. That along with upgraded radiator and fans should be good enough for now. Don't want to push my luck on the stock bottom end plus gonna save up for clutch, tranny and rear end as I have a 05 and not sure how long it'll last.
