Would this turbo be big enough for 800 rwhp on a 427? What kind of boost would be needed?

Thanks!

I wouldn't run that small of a turbo on a 427. I'd do a S480 at least. You can get them in T4 too. There's another build on here that a guy did with the turbo in the fender on a C6 Z06 with a S480 and made 8xx.

Looks fun curious why didn't you go 275/60/15?

You try to launch yet?

325s fit a 10" wheel, and give me more tire section on the ground compared to a 275.

Stayed around 215 after all the pulls. Not too bad considering how hot everything gets under the hood.

Tire width does not necessarily mean more contact patch. Could have identical area contact patch with a 275 or 325.

Default JMS Racing is doing my S480 Turbo Build

Also going to pick up some nice CCW classics and tires this weekend so I can try and get this thing to hook haha.

I'm having JMS build my Turbo setup right now with an S480 Borgwarner I'm hoping for 800-900 RWHP off of my ERL 383 Stroker (Heads / CAM) C5.

Badass dude. JMS is top notch, car is in good hands. I'm having a blast running mine. I'll upload a video of some street runs later today.

I'd like to talk to you and ask you some advice from time to time since you have already gone through this phase.

Are you running PRO EFI or the stock computer for traction control? Mine is a 1998 and I'm thinking I need to upgrade to get traction. I've got some 17X10 and 17X11 CCW Classic Racing Wheels and plan on putting some Mickey Thompson slicks but don't know what the best size should be...

If your in San Antonio hit me up so we can talk. 210-542-0823.

Default Car pulls hard! Nice

You have better traction than I do as far as your ECU traction control.

The guys at JMS are great guys to work with and they know what they are doing! There is no way I could have done this myself as I can't even spell weld... LOL
