Default TORCO or Race gas

OK which is better to use for a track day 93 octane raised to 99 mixing race gas or 93 raised to 99 with TORCO. Why should also be included.

If the option is available I always prefer race fuel, simply from a volume/mixing stand point. Torco works great, but given the two options you listed I would go with the fuel.

Race gas

But torco is cheaper, easier to source, easier to transpot, etc. It has a lot of advantages.

So question is the added cost/hassle/etc worth it? That is something only you can answer.

sorry but can you expand on this Doug? do you mean it's just more reliable to use race fuel since no mixing math to potentially get wrong?

I think Doug meant that Race gas will distribute better than just adding a quart of TORCO. That can be minimized if you add the TORCO first then fill up.

hmmm.....I'd think just cruising around, taking turns, hitting potholes, etc would mix it up enough but maybe it seperates if sits for awhile or something.
