Default 1/2 Mile drag- Post your best Trap Speed

Hey guys so im in the market of purchasing a C6 Z06 and was wondering who on this forum has taken their C6Z down the half mile

Also, what mods and what WHP does your car sit at.

My Personal Best
Car: BMW M4
Mods: Intake, Downpipes, chargepipes, exhaust, 101octane, tune
Horsepower: 500-540whp
Trap Speed: 150.9 mph
Elevation: 700ft

Post your trap speeds so we can see what horsepower levels result in what MPH trap speed

people have tried this but the various 1/2 mile tracks are all so different that comparing them is basically impossible and not really valuable or worth doing.

a local track I've been to for example changed course configuration at the exact same location, and with 150whp more and more torque with better setup in every way on the car I did the exact same trap speed as I did before all the upgrades.

What he said. Da, elevation, rules, etc etc make comparing half mile extremely hard. My car has done over 185 taking it easy but that I wouldn't claim anything since it isn't a controlled course or setup.

Wheel spin with extra 150hp wasnt the factor?

no, i had better traction the second time. Lots of places have a running start to get to the 1/2 mile cones, so you start your 1/2 mile at like 30-40mph or whatever. Events have different starting distances, etc. Then the event I'm talking about switched to a standing 1/2 mile only from stopped so people have more room to stop, but no run up distance. Until there are some sort of sanctioned governing body like NHRA there is no way to compare them because they are all run different.

if you're wondering if a mild c6z06 will be faster than your current car can always find someone local and just run them but I'd bet a h/c/i c6 z06 would pull bus lengths on a 520whp m4. Just for reference with no run up space, so stopped to 1/2 mile, a friend of mine with h/c/i setup and ~585whp was running ~165mph and with I believe a 100 shot did a best of 171mph with his 2007 c6 z06

...out on the flats of Nebraska this summer I ran 132.8 mph into a 25 mph headwind.....I was hoping for the high 130's.....total stock 10 GS......except for Corsas.....

A C7 Z06 with 8A ran consistent 149's against the wind.......the wind was bad.....standing start.....

At ShiftS3ctor in CA earlier this year I was doing 158 - 161 on motor (555 whp) and best of 169.8 with a 100 shot. Although NoFlyZone is a rolling start event, here in AZ I did a standing start and hit 164 on motor. I agree that you will see a lot of variance from event to event. Heck it even seems like there is variance from day to day at some events.
