Default Nitrous Spark Plugs

I just want to start off by saying I've searched and haven't found the answer I'm looking for so please hold back on the "JUST SEARCH" comments.

I have a C6Z with a Nitrous Outlet MSD Plate Kit on it. My car will be getting tuned by James @ ShorTuning. I talked to him a few times and want to make sure the car is dialed in before I make the 5 hour trip to get on his dyno. He told me to run NGK 4554 plugs. I installed the plugs into the car and have been messing with a small nitrous hit, my car has developed the "check charging system" fault and it's very annoying because I drive my car daily.

Has anyone found a solution for this? The issue happens due to the RFI from the non resistor spark plugs. James has not found a remedy for this yet. I would like to find a happy medium for the issue. I want a good spark plug but also don't want the interference with my charging system.

Thoughts?

How much nitrous were you spraying? Pump Gas or Race Gas?

I would try an iridium plug, something like a TR7IX, if you're not running a big shot (>175hp) of nitrous. Conventional wisdom dictates using a BR series plug with nitrous, but I've never tried them, to be honest. But I've probably made 100s of nitrous passes with iridium plugs (typically TR6IX) in my 6.2L truck, even running a .082" jet on pump gas, without any issues. Compared to something like a TR6 plug, the iridium plugs idle and resist fouling much better.

I'm going to try the BR7EF plug.

I also have a goal, I want to make 800 to the tire when I go get re tuned. The car makes 610 so I'm thinking it'll need some good fuel and at least a 78N jet to get there. I don't mind swapping plugs for the "200" shot but would like to have a good plug for daily driving and a 100-150 shot then change up plugs when going with the 200 hit.

With boost my car has seen upwards of 1000whp on BR7EF's. With a 200 youd probably want BR8s to be on a safe side.

I think the BR prefix stops at 7 and the 8 is a B8EFS but that's beside the point. I think I'm going to run the BR7EF for the 100 shot, and run whatever the tuner recommends for the 200 shot. He knows his **** so I will listen and put up with the "SERVICE CHARGING SYSTEM" light while on the 200 pill.

Anyone here run a 200 shot, what plugs did you use? Looking for feedback on all set ups ran!

I would run the plugs James has suggested and call it good. I would be irked if I had to swap plugs and nitrous jets.

I run the same plugs on an 88 jet.

I am currently running the BR7EF's on my LS2 414ci stroker. I am running a 250 shot making 730/793 to the tire... They seem to work just fine.

Good information! What are you gapping plugs at?
